Normal Life Returns...? One Foot Tall Fiancé chapter 20 by copier · original author: falseident

Your return to college, compared to past events, was remarkably bland. You returned to the same room set aside for you, without a roommate, with the same regular sized furniture. The room brought back painful memories...memories that feel like another life. Cassie was out of your life. The last words you spoke to her helped remind you that the relationship was dead. Completely. With this thought, you were able to slowly allow the love to die. You began attending classes with a greater fervor than before summer break. In class, the news of your broken engagement brought a variety of stares your way. Pity. Curiosity. Regardless, you didn't engage with people as you did before; the truth was you didn't feel you deserved it.

The time between leaving Cassie had given you the quiet and peace you needed to realize you weren't completely blameless. Regardless of your convictions, some part of you is perverted. Undeniably. Your passive, gullible nature had lead to your engagement falling apart. Cassie had been the one to give it her all in the relationship while you just sort of coasted along relying on her nature.Your passive perversion and reliance on Cassie for everything was your fault. The only thing you can do is to work on improving yourself. So, you began to work out seriously and study seriously. The next time you found yourself in a relationship, you would be a much better person for that special someone.

A few months pass...

Winter break was fast approaching and the temperature was dropping. You walked along a scenic pathway on campus towards your next class; Public Finance. The professor there, one of the only people you can say you're friends with now, convinced you to aim for an Economics major. Her named, Dr. Beckett, had taken you under her wing. You found the department was full of bright minds. While you can't say you have any friends you can say you've become friendly with them. No parties, friendly get togethers but being able to say hi and receive one back was enough. Dr. Beckett was the exception though. You two regularly shared a drink in the canteen and joked together over classroom hijinks. Dr. Beckett was an older woman, close to turning 40 but she behaved as if she was in the prime of her life. Her serious and especially sarcastic attitude managed to draw you to her despite your reservations.

She poked fun at your size, your test grades and your workout routine especially (what's the point when you're so small?) but she never took it too far. She was a joy to talk to.

With these thoughts in mind, you smile into your scarf. The cold temperatures had you and everyone else on campus swaddled in thick layers of clothing. It was difficult to tell who was who in this weather...most people were hurrying on to their next class to get out of the freezing cold. All of this together would help hide from you the person that followed you...every single day.

Cassie's point of view:

It had been a few months since I had let Jake go. I thought it would be for the best; both of us were hurting and as much as I was angry, I could feel the sorrow in his words. He was sorry, scared and just wanted out. Any further action would only continue on a string of actions that, in the end, would be worthless.

I regret that entirely now. Just as quickly as the anger left, memories of the times we spent together came back. Our conversations late at night, our trips and everything we did together...I kept having dreams. We had fun, shared words I wouldn't speak to anyone else. We were tender and caring...our experiences together wouldn't be wiped out so easily. Sure, he was a pervert...undeniably. But which man isn't? All men have a certain perversion to them. Jake was a pervert but I'm not sure I care about that now. What I care about is the fact I miss having him around. His small body...so weak yet he trusted me and loved me. I miss that feeling desperately.

I started looking for him on campus. Eventually, I was able to determine where he went each day; it looked like he had begun to avoid people. This thought was saddening but...at the same time it meant he wouldn't be able to find someone new. Time was on my side! I'll be able to eventually approach him and see if we can't rekindle what we had before. No one can understand him like I do...his tender side and his perverted side. I'd watch him from afar...all the good times from before would swirl in my mind. He's waiting for me...he still misses me...he knows I'm the only one who can understand him. Some part of me knew that...this isn't perhaps the best way to go about this; in fact it could be my own delusion. But this manner of thinking filled me with the hope we could go back to the way things were. Well...kind of. I would need to keep him on a tighter leash, be a bit more controlling. K...keep him closer at all times. He would understand what with his perverted nature. Surely he would.

The only thing holding me back was our last words together. He was so scared...sorrowful. I'll just give him some more time, more space. Eventually he'll be over it!

That's what I thought before I noticed him hanging out with another woman. I found out her name was Dr. Patricia Beckett a sort of star of the college. Highly intelligent, owns a few awards in her field of expertise...still beautiful despite her age. This hussy...I keep finding her with Jake at the campus canteen...drinking and laughing together. It's clear she loves him, that she's trying to steal him from me! I sometimes sit close by, out of sight but well within hearing range. I convinced my friends to always pick a certain table nearby...as Jake and Dr. Beckett always seemed to sit at the same spot at the bar. Their usual spot! Jake would sit his small body on the bar top just so he can face her and have a normal conversation; it was infuriating how close they seem to be now.

Infuriating...and frightening. If I waited too long, Jake might be swayed away from me. That. is. unacceptable.
