Reject Humanity, Embrace Inanimateness One Foot Tall Fiancé chapter 11 by copier · original author: lifesaver

“But in all serious, how about you elaborate on your mother deciding she can use you whenever she wants?!" Kimberly's tone of absolute fascination, and almost glee struck fear into your heart. Being viewed as an object is one of the most dehumanizing and dangerous aspects of your life, and the great interest that your soon to be mother in law was taking in it was disconcerting. At this point all four of the Smalls women were chuckling at the ridiculousness of your stories, Cassie included. While stories about your Aunt Tara's intentional torture of you made her blood boil, she too couldn't help but appreciate the absurd humor of your various predicaments with the other women in your life.

"Well actually, Ms. Smalls, it wasn't so much of a conscious decision of hers to start using me whenever she wanted... more so I just never had the guts to tell her no." The laughter of the Smalls women died down a bit, as Kimberly raised an eyebrow with intrigue. You continued, "The way I see it, my mom had to sacrifice so much of her own life to keep my helpless self safe as I grew up, and I owe her a level of gratitude that I can never truly pay back. People tried to harm me, the government wanted to take me away and study me, corporations even offered her millions of dollars to straight up purchase me in hopes that they could find the secret to my body's characteristics and make products with it. Through all of that she kept me safe. And yes while a number of various incidents occurred involving Tara, other friends, and even her own somewhat forgetful self, at the end of the day I'm still alive and well!"

The sincere tone of your voice seemed to reach all of the women in the room, inspiring a feeling of appreciation from each one of them, and even a hint of respect coming from the matriarch of the family. You had a long way to go still to earn her favor, but seeing that you at least had a good heart was a significant step. You could only hope that continuing to elaborate on goofy situations after this emotional outburst wouldn't cause her to view you as less than human once more.

Since none of the women seemed interested in interjecting, you continued, "So for these reasons when things like her asking to use me as clothing, a seat cushion, anything really began happening, I could rarely bring myself to say no. Let me make it clear, I do not enjoy being used as an object, it was just something I felt like I owed her. This was even the main reason I moved away to college and ended up meeting Cassie! My life got so chaotic at home with these requests on top of the usual shenanigans that I vowed to get a degree, marry a lovely girl, get a job, and prove that I am an independent man capable of living a normal life."

Once again the women were transfixed by the passion of your speech. Unbeknownst to you, Kimberly was simultaneously disheartened to hear that you weren't as much of a pushover as she first thought you were, yet also impressed. Only time could tell if she would someday accept you as a man, or default back to her original viewpoint of you as a object to be used for the good of her family and herself.

Unfortunately, while you felt the warm reception to you being serious for a moment, you quickly noticed Sophie's eyes begin to wander out of boredom, with Kimberly following suit. You had explained all that you wanted to explain thus far, but now it was time to get back to the uproarious stories which the women seemed to love so much.

"Okay well that's enough serious talk for now! I didn't mean to kill the mood! I'll get back to the stories now!" You said, taking a deep breath...

(FLASHBACK BEGIN)

Like you stated before, events like the weekly seat cushion duties or the hair tie day that started it all began to happen more and more often throughout your final two years of high school. The first few times you made an effort to tell your mom that while you were willing to help her out, you didn't want her to make a habit out of using you. However, as these types of encounters began to happen with an increasingly alarming frequency, you had abandoned the notion of it stopping entirely. Monthly use turned into weekly, and weekly to almost daily by the time you were close to graduating. It was overwhelming for you to handle to say the least, but like you said before, you almost never had the courage to say no. Even the occasional time where you did lightly reject your mom's request, all it took was a bit of pleading and a sad look to get you onto your side. At times you hated it, but letting her down felt worse to you than being used for just about any purpose.

Today was no exception. As Dani Bigg's alarm clock went off at 9:00AM sharp she reached over and lazily hit it with one hand to press snooze and sleep for 15 more minutes. She readjusted her sleep mask and smiled gently as she quickly returned to sleep. You on the other hand, were immediately wide awake. When your mom's alarm clock went off, your eyes shot open and you felt your contorted body groan with pain. Your arms and legs were wrapped around the back of your mom's head, with your squishy torso covering her eyes gently as she slept. Little did you know that when she asked you to replace her lost sleep mask two weeks ago that it would become an everyday thing. You craved the comfort of your own bed, but you hadn't felt it in nearly a fortnight. Fifteen minutes passed by and the blaring alarm sounded off once more, this time prompting your mom to sit up in her bed, slide you off and drop you into her lap, then grab her phone and silence the alarm for good. She checked her texts and emails for a moment before looking down at you, your limbs wrapped in knots with the same circumference as her head. Her eyes shot open in realization and she smiled,

"Jake! Good morning! You're just so comfortable on my face that sometimes I forget you're even there! I hope you slept well!" Your mom's chipper attitude in the mornings always annoyed you, but doubly so when it came right after a night of mediocre sleep. You honestly would have preferred to sleep under the covers, even taking the almost guaranteed outcome of her restless body steamrolling you as she tossed and turned. At least then you would be in the bed and not uncomfortably on her face.

Of course, you said none of this out loud. You only had a few more months before you left for college, if this is what you had to put up with to make your mom happy then you would deal with it. She quickly untied the knots around your limbs and you felt yourself begin to slowly return back to normal human shape.
