Phil stealthily made his way over about four seats to the feet of another girl. His small size and negligible weight made it easy to go undetected as he sat on her shoe and braced himself. The movie was wrapping up and the students were getting ready to go. As the giant third-grader stood up, Phil put his arms into her shoelaces. The girl walked out of the theatre, towards the exit. It was too perfect. She was walking right up against the wall, where Phil could hide easily. When her foot came down, Phil jumped off, rolled, and ducked into a lean-to made from a discarded brochure. It felt like Mission Impossible as he watched the huge feet of the elementary schoolers go by. The entry way quieted down and Phil made his way out of the brochure.
He was free. Free! There was no Kendra, no Becky, no Mom, no Mandy, no Michelle, no Ms. Prittey, no Ms. Joy, no nobody. He was finally free! The oversanitized floor smelled sweet to Phil as he walked along the wall to the exhibit on human evolution.
