"Mrs. Bemine," Ms. Prittey said over the phone. "You know you had a deal with this school. Now Phil has missed two out of the three days he has been enrolled."

"But Phil has been missing for those two days," Mrs. Bemine protested.

"In our deal, we specifically said there were to be no excuses for his absence. When he is found, he is to come in tomorrow and live at the school for two weeks. If not, we will reninstate your daughter's tuition bill." Ms. Prittey slammed the phone down in anger. She wanted to play with Phil for another day, and she didn't want to spend another day making up her lesson as she went along. Tormenting Phil was the only thing she had planned for the rest of the week.

Mrs. Bemine fummed. She didn't like the tought of being seperated from her foot toy for two weeks. Whatever Phil was doing now, those two weeks were going to seem like a vacation when she got through with him.

Meanwhile, at Park County Elementary school, Mandy and Michelle took their seats as class began. "Where's Phil?" Michelle whispered. Mandy responded only by pointing to a bulge in her chest pocket. From where Phil was sitting, it really wasn't a bad spot. His cousin't heartbeat had managed to lull him to sleep on the bus ride over to the school. (He had spent the night tied to a stuffed bear and squeezed by Mandy, making it very hard for him to get to sleep.)

"Good morning kids!" Mrs. Joy said excitedly. She was a pretty, blonde teacher in her mid-twenties with long legs, a slim figure and as much energy as a radioactive espresso. "If you will line up at the door, we'll be ready to go on our feild trip to the science musem.

Michelle and Mandy had completely forgotten about the feild trip that day. Now their toy would just be something to lug around for the day, with no recess or lunch break to play with it.

Phil was awoken from his slumber by the sound of a diesel engine starting up. He hadn't slept through the whole day had he? Maybe going with Mandy wasn't so bad after all.

After a ride of about twenty minutes, the bus stopped and Mandy and Michelle got off. Phil heard a tour guide start talking about the dinosaur bones, and he peaked out of Mandy's pocket and saw that the class was on a feild trip in the musem. Mandy paid little attention to the boy in her pocket. After several attempts to play, Mrs. Joy threatened to take her "doll" away. So, Phil stayed in the pocket, looking out occasionally. When he peeked out one time, he saw that he was looking at a human skeleton-his size. It was an exhibit on the evolution of man and it made note of several tiny babies born mainly in the third world and not reported on by the western media. The exhibit stated that the people "were said to be extremely resilliant to disease, injury and death despite their size. Phil began to formulate a plan of escape.

After lunch, when Mandy did actually get to play with Phil some, the class went to see the Imax movie of an expidition up Mount Everest. Mandy, getting bored and attemting to take advantage of the dark theatre, reached into her pocket only to find that Phil wasn't there. She actually hadn't felt him slip out and climb down her shirt during the first part of the movie. Now he stood under her chair watching her huge feet, and contimplating his next move.
