Melissa’s weight is almost too much for Phil. Though his little body is very durable there is only a certain amount of punishment it can take. Finally Melissa finally gets up off of him allowing to peel himself off the mat.
“Excellent form and a good finishing technique Melissa.” Ms. Li complimented, Melissa bowed, Ms. Li turned to Phil, “Phil I’m very disappointed. You started off well enough with a decent dodge but once you got hit with your first love tap you never recovered. You just let Melissa walk all over you.”
Phil raised an eyebrow, love tap? She had nearly shattered every bone in his body!
“Well this is your first day,” Ms. Li reasoned, “and it’s clear you don’t have any ability. I guess I shouldn’t be expecting any miracles…. Well Phil the only way you’re going to improve is with practice! Molly, you’re up next.” A slender blonde haired girl with pigtails and glasses stepped forward and bowed to Phil.
Phil groaned and did likewise. Soon he was being ground into the mat by the girl’s merciless bare feet. He couldn’t dodge the blow but he tried to make sure he wasn’t hit with the full impact by trying to stay inbetween her toes and not get trapped beneath the ball of her foot. Ms. Li just shook her head disappointed.
Phil lucked out though. The bell rang signaling lunch.
“Well it’s day 3 so that means double karate lessons.” Phil felt like crying, it was bad enough he’d have to put up with this on a daily basis but TWICE on Wednesdays? It would be hell!
“You’re dismissed for lunch.” She told the class, “Make sure you eat healthy!”
Ms. Li turned to Phil, “Well I think I’ve fully assessed your abilities. To be completely honest I think some of the junk food the girls eat has more potential for developing karate than you do.” The remaining girls laughed, “We’ll have to remedy that with lots and lots of practice. Girls will one of you take Phil to lunch?”
Melissa, the chubby brunette, grabbed a hold of him, “I will Ms. Li!”
With that Melissa slipped on some sandals and left, Phil in hand.
