Calmly Lara's eyes scanned the tomb, searching for treasures or artifacts. It was the same as every other ruin, carvings on the walls, dank atmosphere that reeked of age, and the apprehensive feeling like a trap could go off at anytime. It was making a thrilled smile come to her mouth, a smile that only grew as she reached for the gun alongside her hip to be safe. She took a single step forward before her well trained eyes saw something remarkable.
---------------------------------------------------
The goddess looked around with her perfect face, no doubt searching for our constantly migrating village. Her slender fingers, which were also covered with a second skin, grasped a most unusual object. Some sort of metal shaped like a curve with two holes at the end. Staring at it somehow I knew, I was staring at a weapon. But...the goddess...Lara....she was so beautiful...so perfect, it was no doubt a weapon used to defend me and my people!
Excitement filled my body as I eagerly jumped up and down, "Goddess!! Goddess Lara! It is I Ne of the Minanachy Tribe! Son of Zal and Mani! Please acknowledge me oh Divine Goddess!!" I ended up on my knees almost bowing to her before I even realized it. Then Goddess Lara took a step forward, her thick leather shoes that were the size of all the previously felled beasts combined made a sound that I had never before encountered. It was....like a rumbling boom....that was really all I could've said to describe it. And right as her foot covered miles of Earth her eyes locked on to the place behind me, my village. I instantly bowed in appreciation and adoration of the Goddess.
--------------------------------------------------
Lara's thick British accent sounded absolutely astounded, she had to blink several times to make sure she wasn't hallucinating. Before her was one step, only one, yet clearly on the other side of the step was a small....structure, and through instinct Lara guessed what it was, and she guessed correctly. Fascinated she leaned over and eyed it closer, the structure or structures as it turned out was a village, a village that could fit on Lara's thumb. And at this close range she clearly saw another astounding sight; a man, a warrior judging by his attire, a man less than a centimeter tall, bowing to Lara.
"Oh my god...." Was all Lara could say. Every explorer and archaeologist knew about this...this myth. The tale of the Minanachy Tribe. A tribe of people so small that by current metric standards they would be one or two milimeters in height. There were tales of them in various ancient Incan ruins. It was hard to notice but whilst the Incans worshipped in their depictions on the tombs, there were smaller beings worshipping them. People didn't know what to make of it for years, by unearthed tablets found roughly ten years ago managed to explain much. It gave the name of the Minanachy Tribe, as well as their practices regarding things such as survival and religion. They survived by hunting the smallest of the small insects, and constantly migrating to avoid something like a spider. And they worshipped average sized people as gods, and there were often tales of this being twisted into blatant abuse. Of course the idea of a race of milimeter tall people was considered fiction, emphasis on was.
Lara couldn't even think clearly, to think that not only the Minanachy Tribe existed, but still exist to the present day was simple astounding. They survived for over five hundred years in a world of war, pollution and famine. The tomb was the resting place of the Incans, and the fortress that defended the Minanachy. This would mean...new breakthroughs in science, historical facts uncovered, the very world could be altered by this find! And Lara would make the find of her career.... For a brief moment her eyes flashed with greed but it instantly vanished, she was not interested in money nor the fame, she only wanted to do this out of pure historical interest. Of course she would report the finding of the Minanachy Tribe, but she would also make sure they are treated humanely, lest they too become extinct.
The bowing warrior regained Lara's attention, and more out of curiousity than anything she asked in pure English, "Do you speak?" The warrior stopped and appeared confused, obviously not understanding or too surprised to respond. So Lara shifted between all the languages from Spanish to Aztec until she knew that she had found something that might work.
------------------------------------
Goddess Lara...up close she was even closer to perfection than I had imagined. Her voluptous curves were open to my sight, and....I wanted to jump in so badly. But it wasn't just that, I wanted...her...Lara. I wanted to live my life at her mercy, even if it meant my home would be something like her nostril of that odd shoe of hers. I wanted to live my life pleasing her. Even if I had met her less than a minute ago, all my village's religions and beliefs washed away in seconds. My life, my religion, my very being itself centered around the Goddess before me. I knelt my head down, I was not worthy to look upon such beauty for a second further.
Then she spoke again, saying words that made little sense to me. I recognized one bit, she said God, apparently a sort of short prayer...while she clearly is God...nothing else could be so perfect so....unique. After a few moments I felt her gaze upon me, and she asked in one of my villages languages if I spoke. I looked up, amazed that Goddess Lara was even acknowledging the speck unworthy of her presence.
She apparently thought I was unable to understand and began using different languages, many of which I knew. Various Gods have visited the village, and quite a few brought with them a new language. As a result me and the villagers all practice nine different languages. Her voice...was so elegant...so serene....I couldn't resist the urge to respond.
"My goddess! I am indeed capable of speech!" Goddess Lara appeared stunned.
-------------------------
Unreal...it was simply unreal that not only the Minanachy Tribe lived, but spoke in Spanish!? The tales behind such a marvel must have truly been great. He referred to Lara as a goddess, to which she couldn't help but chuckle a little bit. But she didn't correct him on it, at least not yet, "Good day to you. My name is Lara, and you are?" She queried in flawlessly executed Spanish.
"I am Ne my goddess!"
This was truly a most amazing discovery, Lara didn't know whether to converse with the man before her or bring him and possibly his village and consult her various textbooks back at her camp regarding this. The things they would know...the possibilities were endless.
