A part of 18 wanted to make him shrink with her with no way back for him. He would be hers forever. But another part was bored of being cruel, causing pain and destruction only to show her power. This would lead her to be alone at the end.

" Yeah...As i said i lost my power..And my size. " 18 said. It was weird for trunks to see her like a normal personn, with the same size as him.
" don't be so surprised." She continued. " there was no futur for me like as a giant."
"18...why did you release me ?" He asked confused and happy at the same time.
" How could i keep you with me with no power ? It was useless, and you would probably find a way with your mother to make you grow again. " She explained, thought that trunks knew this was not the truth. After all, he would have lost his powers too.
"....And what are you gonna do now? If someone find you, he'll kill you.".
" Are you offering me your protection ? " she joked. " What has to happen to me will happen anyway. Go find your mother and leave me alone. "

Trunks blushed, this was totally weird and unexpected. 18 giggled at his reaction. He was really a cute boy to take care, and not the good one to torture anymore.
"Maybe we'll meet again. Cya " 18 said before leaving the lab, giving trunks many hopes for the future, and a second chance to herself.
