" actually, there's one thing i want you to...i mean about your size." Trunks began, but according to 18's expression, he wasn't sure if he should continue. She looked like a girl who just get punished or something. The giant woman caught trunks by one leg, raising him out of the water. Being taken like that was not comfy at all, but trunks was getting used to her savage actions.
" and then what..? you think you'll get a chance to date with me if shrink back to human size ? " She asked with her giant blue eye really close to him. "...well, that's pathetic. Guess this is a goodbye " she said before throwing him over her shoulder like a dirt.
The Saiyan fell into the water and quickly swam to the surface. "Wait ! what you're gonna do ?! " he asked, uncertain he would ever be able to fully understand the android someday.
" Don't follow me. Live your life and i will live mine, that's all. See ya ! "
18 concentrated her ki to fly away at full speed, creating enormous and strong waves to distract Trunks while she left. Once the sea calmed down, Trunks décided to fly away too. He would like to follow 18, but he couldn't sense her ki. He was worried about her next plans.

Months have past, and Trunks was living a normal life near his mother, helping the citizen of West City to rebuild the town. But there were still no sign of 18, which was strange, mostly as she was a giant. He checked the daily news on tv everyday but nothing. Thought that Bulma didn't know the whole story of what happenned between him and 18, she suspected the android to have changed because of him and that's why she left.
"Mom. Did you find a way for what i've asked ? "
Bulma sighed. " Unfortunately, there's a lot of things even myself will never be able to create again. Some of my inventions needs some rare materials which have been destroyed once and for all last time your gigantic "friend" made sure to be seen by everyone in city. "
" So you can't make a shrinking ray...What about a spaceship to go on Namek and find the dragon ball ? "
" Same problem. I can try, but it will take me years and i won't even be sure it will work "
" I see. " Trunks said and left home. He needed to be alone, walking throught the city. Lost in mind, he wondered what could be 18's next action, or even if she was still alive when he heard a cop talking to some citizen
" Yeah, i'm not certain but a friend of mine said that the android has been seen in the mountains not far from West City..." these words created some panick among people, but for Trunks, it was a good new and decided to go in there to check this information.
Flying above a huge forest, he joined the mountains enought soon, which were familiars to him somehow. When he remembered something : there's Dr Gero's lab around there ! He landed to not be seen easily and continued his search by walking. Once he arrived, he entered a grotto where many computers were working to his surprise. But this time was different, no androids, or no cell were being created in there. On the screen, he could read : " SHRINKING PROCESS STARTING IN 3 MINUTES. TARGET NEED TO BE READY !"
" What's the....?! So she actually spent her time to work on something to shrink herself back ? " Trunks smiled, when he suddenly found himself trapped in a fist. The giant android took him out of the grotto and faced the tiny Saiyans.
" How did you find me ? " She asked coldly.
" Was not an easy task.. But i guess it was not easy either for your to work on Dr Gero's computers." Trunks replied. She remained silent for a moment and Trunks knew he had to do also her part of the conversation.
" So you've finally decided to shrink back ? My mother tried to work on something, but she didn't have some materials to make it work."
" I never asked you anything ! " she yelled at him before turning calm. "...it's the last material on Earth to make a shrinking ray work. I knew that Gero planned something with that long time ago. There will be no reverse, i 'll never grow again. "She explained.
" You did a good choice for a new start, but why ? " Trunks took the risk to ask.
" You made me feel that what i need the most is a normal life. Changing clothes, taking care of my hairs and body...This ray will also remove my powers once and for all."
Trunks was happy to hear that...and maybe, just maybe..he could be with her...if that's what she wanted to of course. But for now, something was worried him as he heard the computer said : "SHRINKING PROCESS STARTING IN 1 MINUTE "....Why 18 wasn't putting him down ?
