"The winner of the first round of the Greatest Competition is... Acueid!" Neco Arc announced enthusiastically.
Arcueid jumped for joy as she head this, and Tohsaka slumped over with a look of defeat on her face.
"See? I told you that I was the best choice!" Arcueid said, looking over to Ciel with a look on her face that screamed 'I told you so'.
"Yeah, yeah... Don't rub it in..." Ciel mumbled, hating to have to admit that Arcueid had been right.
"Awww, is somebody jealous? I'm sorry, it's not my fault that I'm so awesome! Maybe some day, if you're lucky, even you can be as cool and sexy as me!" Arcueid said with a smirk.
"Don't get overconfident, vampire! You only won us the first round, and if you lose the rest of the tournament for us, then I'm going to be really pissed!" Ciel shouted, being frustrated by Arcueid's attitude.
"Sorry, but Arcueid won't be participating in the next round." Neco Arc said.
"What? But you said that we had to choose someone to represent our team through the whole contest!"
"Yeah, but I changed my mind. Having only one giantess doing all the work would be boring. Not just for me, but for the readers too." Neco Arc answered, blatantly disregarding the fourth wall.
"So you're just going to change the rules in the middle of the contest?!" Tohsaka said, overhearing the conversation.
"Yep." Neco Arc said bluntly.
"Can she even do that? Is that legal?" Kohaku asked Akiha in confusion.
"I don't even care anymore... This whole thing was ridiculous from the beginning, let's just roll with it..." Akiha said with a sigh.
"So what now? If Arcueid and I aren't going to be the team reps, then how is this going to work?" Tohsaka asked.
"Simple. Before each contest, the teams will pick the candidates who they think best fit the competition."
"And how will the ultimate winner be decided if it isn't the representative of the winning team?" Hisui asked.
"Easy. The winning team will have a competition among themselves, and the one who wins that is the ultimate winner." Neco Arc replied.
"Sounds good to me. This seems like a much more fair system anyway. Now we all have a shot at winning!" Ciel said, glaring at Arcueid who began to whistle innocently.
"What will the next competition be?" Len asked calmly.
"Since when did you get here?!" The entirety of team moon asked in shock.
"We were here the whole time." Len said, pointing to Satsuki and Aoko who were standing behind her.
"Yeah why do we get ignored just because we aren't main protagonists? We're still a part of the female cast! We have just as much right to be here as you do!" Aoko said, puffing up her cheeks in a pouty expression.
"Ugh, fine, whatever... Minor characters interruptions aside, what exactly are we going to be doing next?" Ciel asked, sounding a bit frustrated.
"I'm glad you asked! Our next round will be..."
