"Hey, Luke..."Lakin tried to whisper as softly as she could, but her massively amplified size counteracted her kind gesture. Her voice was as loud as a thousand sonic booms and as deep as the voice of a god, yet retaining it's feminine undertone."Are you okay?"
"I'm....I'm fine!!"You cupped your hands around your mouth, trying to make your own miniscule voice as loud as it could get. The eye in front of you squinted, another huge wall of skin, as to convey confusion."Speak a bit louder, please."
You took in a deep breath, and screamed your repetition, hurting your throat in the process. The eye widened back to it's normal state."You sure, Luke? I mean, you are pretty small....I have to concentrate really hard just to notice you."She sighed."Luke, we were really worried about you."
She moved her finger in a sweeping motion, revealing the other godlike faces of your friends, millions of miles away, but all showing concern for you, there microscopic friend."When you were hit by the bus, we all jumped to our feet. We thought you had....had..."
"Finally taken the dirt nap."Cris added, ever blunt, her voice far away, but still shattering in it's magnitude.
Another sigh from Lakin, this time for Cris's comment."After you were hit, you just lied there on the concrete, blood spilling out of you...more..more than an average person should bleed. But you didn't look flushed at all. After a few seconds, all the bruises on your skin began to dissapear, all of the broken and out of place bits of your body went back to normal. Then you began to shrink...first it was all slow. Then it went faster and faster, until you completely dissapeared from our sight."
"I thought you were gone forever...but remember that scienece activity we did a few days ago in biology. Dianne had a magnifying glass, so we scoured the area over the place you shrank. Few more minutes later....we find you, right next to an ant walking by. I flicked it away."
You were relieved to find that they stopped the ant from probably eating you.
"Lu...in comparison, you could probably fit on top of one of the ant's antennae feelers, and still have plenty of room to walk around on."
You gulped. The fear was back.
"B-but...."
"We're just okay you're alright."They all said in unison. Lakin lowered her hand until it was in the middle of the group, and all of the girls tried their best to hug the hand and not crush you at the same time. You couldn't help it. You began to cry. Luckily, you were much too small for anyone to see your wweakness. After the friendfest, they all had decided that you would spend the night with one of them. They had called your mother and asked, but they did not mention the fact that you had shrunken down to microscopic size. After some lies about homework, she agreed, and now all you had to do was decide which friend to go with. Two choices came to mind...
