Blake had made his decision. He wasted no time clambering down the table edge, racing toward the door. Aria was stepping out, and her foot stomped behind Blake as she opened the door. Blake dashed for the opening. He made it through with a few seconds to spare. Aria closed the door behind him, and her impossibly long legs towered above him as she walked away. Blake had made it outside. He had no way of getting back to Aria's room, until she came back and opened the door, then he could follow her in. Until then, he was on his own. Blake took in his surroundings; he stood on a white and beige patterned carpet, in the middle of a hallway of identical rooms, lit by bright light bulbs set in ornate brass chandeliers and holders. Blake realised that it would be a great idea to memorise the number of Aria's room, so he could find his way back when it came time to return home. 128. Having done that, he set off in a random direction. After he had passed two or three doors, he heard loud chatter and giggling coming from the end of the hallway. Now, the correct and safe thing to do would be to run to the edge of the hallway and stick to the wall, hoping that the approaching crowd would pay him no attention.
