"Aang, watch your step!" Katara called out, her eyes scanning the rocky terrain.
He looked down and sighed, focusing his energy to manipulate the air beneath his feet and float gracefully over the jagged stones. "Thanks, Katara," he said, his voice carrying a hint of annoyance. "I've got this."
"You're too reckless," she chastised, a smirk playing on her lips as she ran a hand through her damp hair. The trio had just emerged from the waterfall they had used to hide from their pursuers. They were safe for now, but the sense of urgency remained palpable.
Aang's face reddened at her words. "I'm just tired of hiding," he admitted, his eyes reflecting a fiery determination. "We need to get to the Earth Kingdom. I can't keep running forever."
Katara nodded, understanding his frustration. "We will, Aang. But we have to be smart about it."
Suddenly, the serenity of their conversation was shattered by the echo of laughter. A chilling sound that sent a shiver down their spines. They whipped around to see Azula standing atop a nearby boulder, flanked by Ty Lee and Mai. The three of them looked as if they had been waiting for the perfect moment to reveal themselves, a twisted game of cat and mouse.
"You've been a slippery little fish, Aang," Azula taunted, her eyes gleaming with malice. "But now, the net is closing in."
Without warning, Aang's body began to shrink, his limbs retracting into his torso, his head seemingly floating above his shoulders. Panic filled his eyes as he looked down and saw himself becoming smaller and smaller, until he was barely six inches tall.
"What's happening to me?" he squeaked, his voice a tiny echo of his usual self.
Katara, Azula, Mai, and Ty Lee all stared in shock as Aang's transformation unfolded before them. The waterbender's eyes widened, her hand flying to her mouth to stifle a gasp.
"How... How is this possible?" she managed to murmur, her voice barely above a whisper.
Mai smirked, her dark eyes flicking to Ty Lee, who stepped forward with a sinister grace, holding up a small, intricately carved wooden doll. "Thanks to some clever Earth Kingdom technology," she said with a wink.
Aang looked down at himself, his miniature form trembling with fear. His clothes and staff remained the same size, making him look even more comical and vulnerable.
"What do you want?" he squeaked, trying to sound braver than he felt.
"Oh, just to keep you... contained," Azula replied, her voice dripping with amusement. She gestured to Ty Lee and Mai, who moved closer, each extending a hand. "You see, we've decided to use our own bodies as your personal prison."
Katara's eyes narrowed, and she took a protective step forward. "You're not touching him!" she declared, drawing her water from the puddles on the ground. But before she could attack, Azula raised a hand, and blue fire crackled at her fingertips.
"Careful, waterbender," she warned, her smile never wavering. "You wouldn't want anything to happen to your precious little Avatar."
Katara's jaw tightened, but she knew that attacking would only put Aang in more danger. Instead, she knelt beside him, her eyes searching for any sign of a plan or an escape. Aang looked up at her, his eyes wide with terror, but she saw a flicker of something else - a spark of defiance.
In a swift, fluid motion, Azula bent down and plucked Aang from the ground, his tiny form easily fitting in the palm of her hand. He struggled against her grip, his fists pummeling her fingers to no avail. "Let me go!" he shouted, his voice high and desperate.
"So much fight in such a little package," she mused, raising him to eye level. Her gaze was cold, but there was a glint of excitement in her eyes as she studied her new prize. "Don't worry, Avatar," she said, her smile widening. "You'll have plenty of time to get used to your new accommodations."
With a flick of her wrist, she tossed Aang into the air. He had a moment to look down at the world shrinking beneath him before Ty Lee caught him deftly in her hand. The acrobat's eyes sparkled with glee as she examined him, her thumb and forefinger poised to crush him. Aang's heart raced as he stared into the face of his captor, his body rigid with fear.
"Let him go, you monsters!" Katara yelled, her voice resonating through the canyon. She conjured a water whip, crackling with energy, aimed directly at Ty Lee. The former circus performer's smile faltered for a second before she tightened her grip on Aang, using him as a shield.
"Ah, ah, ah," Azula tsked, her firebending hand coming to rest on Ty Lee's shoulder. "If you make one wrong move, she'll crush him like a bug." The blue flame danced closer to Aang's face, and he could feel the heat searing his skin.
Katara's water whip dissipated into a mist, her eyes never leaving Aang's terrified gaze. She took a deep, shuddering breath, her hand dropping to her side. "Please," she begged, her voice thick with emotion. "We're no match for you."
"Very wise," Azula purred, her eyes flicking to the larger group of firebenders that had emerged from the shadows. "Now, if you'll excuse us, we have a long journey ahead."
The three of them turned to leave, Ty Lee and Mai each holding a hand outstretched to keep Aang from escaping. His heart hammered in his chest as he watched his friends shrink in the distance, the world around him growing larger and more terrifying with each step they took away from Katara.
"So, who gets the honor of being the Avatar's first jailer?" Azula mused once they were out of earshot, her eyes darting between Ty Lee and Mai.
Mai stepped forward, her usual apathetic demeanor replaced by a smirk. "I'd be happy to keep him close," she said, extending her hand.
"I'd like that," Ty Lee said, her eyes lighting up with excitement. "We can play with him like a toy!"
"I was thinking more along the lines of keeping him safe and secure," Azula said, her voice taking on an eerily sweet tone that made the hair on the back of Aang's neck stand up.
"But I want to play with him," Ty Lee protested, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
"Patience," Azula said, her smile fading into a cold, calculating expression. "We need to make sure he doesn't escape."
Mai shrugged, her smirk lingering as she took a step back. "Fine by me. I've always enjoyed a good challenge."
Without another word, Azula leaned in and whispered something in Ty Lee's ear. The acrobat's eyes grew wide, and she nodded vigorously. "Yes, Your Highness!" she exclaimed before darting away.
Aang's heart sank as he watched his friend disappear into the foliage. "What are you planning?" he demanded, his voice trembling with fear.
"Oh, nothing too unpleasant," Azula assured him, her voice sickly sweet. "We'll just need to decide who gets the honor of being your first jailer."
Aang's eyes darted between the three of them, his thoughts racing. He had to find a way out of this, had to get back to Katara and the others.
Mai stepped closer, her hand outstretched. "I've got a perfect spot for you," she said, her voice a seductive purr. She pointed to one of her boots, the leather shiny and new. Aang's eyes went wide with horror as he realized her intention.
"Mai!" Ty Lee interrupted, bouncing on her toes. "Let me hold him! I promise to keep him safe... and snug," she added with a wink, glancing down at her ample chest.
Mai's smirk grew more pronounced. "I was thinking more along the lines of practicality," she said, tapping the toe of her boot. "He won't be going anywhere in there."
Ty Lee pouted, her eyes never leaving Aang's terrified face. "But think of the cuddles," she protested, her voice a playful whine.
Mai rolled her eyes. "We're not here to babysit, we're here to capture," she said firmly, her hand still extended.
"But think of the comfort!" Ty Lee argued, her eyes sparkling with mischief as she gestured to the soft fabric of her top. "He'll be so cozy, nestled between my... assets."
Mai raised an eyebrow at her friend's proposal, but Azula's expression grew thoughtful. "That is an interesting idea," she said, eyeing Aang speculatively. "But I think I have a better one." She turned to face Aang fully, her eyes gleaming. "I want you right where I can feel your power," she said, her voice dropping to a murmur. "Between my ass cheeks."
The two friends exchanged a look of shock before bursting into laughter, their mirth echoing off the canyon walls. Aang's face turned a deep shade of scarlet, his eyes squeezed shut in mortification. "You're disgusting!" he yelled, his voice high-pitched and indignant.
What is Aang's chosen prison?
