"Ugh, we really need to find a better way to keep the house clean than picking the short straw. Huh? what's that?" Max watched in silence as the girl she considered the "wild card" approached and spotted him. The frown on her face, disheveled long hair, and simple combination of grey tank top, pajama shorts and socks made clear to Max that Hanna didn't seem like a party girl, more like someone who had to put up with the eccentricities Ventus University offered in exchange for the opportunity or receiving a top quality education.
"um.. Hi.. Hanna is that it?" Max tried to keep it casual because he never talked to her in person, so she didn't know what her personality really was like, at least the real one. He also couldn't help it, focusing on her figure and trying to picture her in one of those beautiful cosplays he remembered from her Nyanna alter ego because the images were so hard to reconcile.
"What are you doing here? You know the rules," Hanna said in a stern tone, which implied he had better give her a good reason not to consider him part of the trash she was supposed to clean up. Max shared his story, trying his best to make it sound as the accident it was casually omitting the part where he decided to drink way more than he could handle. Hanna's face remained impassive, rolling her eyes when he said he didn't remember anything.
"So your name is Max.. weren't you the one making all those stupid noises at the party" Hanna frowned again and made Max gulp in fear, was it that bad? he didn't remember a thing but as the teen he was, he forgot about his unique plight for a moment to dread having made an ass of himself at the party and burying the little status and reputation he could have. Why did he let Zeke convince him to drink before the party?
"I.. I can't remember. All I know is that I was at the party and then I woke up like this! Er.." Max said immediately covering himself when he noticed another dissaproving glance from Hanna "Could you help me growing back to normal?"
Finally giving Max a positive sign, Hanna's expression stopped regarding him as some nuisance to deal with and seemed more intrigued, more open to talk about whatever happened to him. "I have no idea. Someone probably drugged you, but I didn't know drugs could shrink you like this."
"Um.. do you know anyone that can help me?"
"Why would I? Do I look like I'm into any of that shit?"
"N-no, that's not what I meant-" Max recoiled immediately, not knowing how she misinterpreted that but fearing the consequences of not having her as an ally. He was still picturing a bad end of getting tossed in a trash bag, and was also struggling to see any of the hyperactive persona he knew from her alter ego. Granted, she just might be cranky after having to wake up early but still, it made him shiver how little she seemed to care about his problem.
"Maybe I can ask around.. anyway I have to clean the mess you helped to make."
"Weren't you at the party too?"
"I left early, too much noise, remember? At least at this size, that's no longer an issue." Max looked down, a bit embarrassed to be reminded of whatever he did again. He still didn't know if this was going well or not; one moment Hanna implied she would try to help; the other, she gave him that disapproving look again as if he was a huge burden instead of a shrunken student reasonably asking for help.
"Right.. er.. sorry. Could you keep me somewhere safe in the meantime?" Max decided to get to the point; if she was really going to ask around, that would be enough for now. Hanna looked like a junior, but the fact someone from the smart house didn't know anything about shrinking humans was useful if discouraging information. If someone in Ventus knew about it, it should be someone from this house.
Hanna sighed, looking around and then at her clothes, seemingly trying to find a place to keep him.
What happens next?
