It takes but a few seconds before you make a decision: it could make your “owner” unhappy for what she could easily call insubordinate behavior, but the risk is worth it since you don’t want her to endure potential issues just so she can pamper you. Looking up to the giantesses, you speak up:

“Please, Shina, I appreciate that you’re eager to buy me such a good quality suit, but…the price is too much: can’t you buy it later, or something less expensive instead? I wouldn’t want you to suffer potentially avoidable hardships just for my sake.”

Your owner looks down at you on the counter, surprised by your reaction to her decision. She then frowns a bit, while saying:

“But…this is such a cute suit! I really want to buy it so you can wear it from time to time!”

“I would wear it for you…but not at the cost of you getting into debt, especially since I don’t know how long such a period would last. Again, we could get it another time.” You reply politely but clearly on your position, not letting any hint of doubt or fear show.

Shina pouts for a couple of seconds, starting to get annoyed that her pet is being so rebellious regarding how she spends her money: perhaps she…

Before she can continue her line of thought, Mia starts to laugh a bit, clearly amused by the interaction she’s witnessing between owner and property: once she calms down again, she speaks, saying in a happy tone:

“Well, well, this is exactly why I love attending customers with “autonomous” tinies; the interactions are so unique! On a more serious note, Miss Shina, why don’t you acquiesce with your “pet” advice? Although no suit with a lower price comes close to the quality of the TY-Mouse suit you intended to buy, I have several ones within your budget that remain quite good quality, making me certain to leave both of you parties satisfied.”

She then pulls at a small handle beneath the counter, taking out a metallic row from where several tiny suits of clothing hung. 

They were rather diverse, both in appearance as well as branding, but what mattered was that they indeed looked good quality while being far cheaper (the most expensive ones being around a 100 yen each).

Your owner looked at them, touching a few of them and feeling as she could their texture, and making a sigh before she returned her look to you, saying:

“Fine, dear pet, you win: I will buy one of these instead, but…you better wear it back when we come home, no matter how they look, ok? I am still a bit mad that you didn’t want me to buy the cute mouse suit now, so I want you to make it up to me.”

“Fair enough…still, thanks for listening, I appreciate that my owner is willing to listen.” You reply by making a small bow, a gesture that made Shina blush a bit.
