".......I would like to live quietly." I said after a moment or two of hard thought. "I have no intention of becoming a lab rat for the rest of my life, and I don't really think I would like to become famous as being the last of the human race. Kinda creepy, really."

Celestia nodded solemnly. "As you wish."

After Celestia and Luna left the room for a time to discuss things quietly, Celestia called for me, and I left the room as best I could on unsteady feet. Bidding me to follow them down the darkened and broken down hallway leaving the facility, I caught a few glimpses of other ponies ransacking the other rooms inside the facility, male and female alike, some with wings, some with horns, all of them substantially taller and bigger than me (albeit none to the extent of Celestia and Luna).

Soon enough, I found myself in the main lobby of the cyrotech lab, where a large group of ponies had gathered around Celestia and Luna, who were presently talking to them about their recent discovery, i.e. me.

"--a waste of such an invaluable discovery, though?" I overheard one blue pegasus say, her round face puffed up with frustration. "There's so much we could learn form this human, and--"

"True as that may be." Celestia said, gently interrupting her. "We must respect his wishes and allow him the chance to live his life as we see fit. He is just as intelligent and free-spirited as the rest of us, and---ah, here he is now."

Every single set of eyes turned to me, and I instantly heard a few dozen gasps of shock and wonder and awe.

"He really is real." one pony said. "I.....I'd never thought I'd see the day that--"

"It shouldn't have been possible." another one whispered. "The odds that a single human could have survived, even preserved using cryonics, it's....."

"But it happened." I said. "For better or worse, it happened."

No one said a word.

".....Look," I said, taking a moment to compose myself and figure ut what I could say. "I'll be more than willing to submit myself to a few tests here and there, and answer some question and so on....but I just want to be able to live at least somewhat normally. The odds are against me, I know, that I'll ever be able to make that happen, but I just.....wanna be happy. You know?"

A few of the ponies nodded. "Where do you intend to go, then?" one of them asked. "Where do you intend to live?"

"Celestia said that she would be able to find some ponies that I could live with as I settle in and stuff." I replied.

"Indeed." Celestia said. "But there is the question, of course, of where you should actually be sent."

"You would probably want to avoid Manehatten and Canterlot, of course." Luna said, after mulling it over. "You'd simply get lost in the former and immediately noticed by the latter."

"I'll take your word for that." I said. "What other cities or towns or whatever can I go to, then?"

A hand shot up from among the crowd. "I have a cousin," said a gray unicorn. "who lives in this one town called Ponyville. It's small, it's quiet, it's rustic as all hell, and the residents are all a bunch of weirdos. You could probably march into town naked juggling fireworks and they wouldn't bat an eye."

"I'll....I'll keep that in mind." I said. "Any other suggestions?"

"There's Appleoosa." another pony said. "It's a frontier town in the middle of nowhere. Not much going for it in terms of an active night life or anything, but it's pretty nice and friendly from what I hear."

"Very well, then." Celestia said. "Do any of these particular towns seems interesting to you?"
