".....Well." Cadence eventually said, a small smile on her face. "I don't suppose that you have any more, do you?"
I shook my head. "We're not going to give you every last scrap of food we have." I said. "We've already been more than generous with you already, considering the situation."
I turned back to Princess Celestia. "All right, then. When are our friends coming free?"
"Soon enough." Celestia said, a gentle smile on her face. "In all due time."
"No." I said. "No tricks. No delaying tactics or anything, all right? We want our friends and we want them now."
Princess Celestia scowled, her whole face wobbling from the movement. "Very well, then." she said. "Your friends will be released to you within the day. Would you mind telling us where your base is, so that we know where to drop them off?"
I didn't even bother to get insulted. "It's not going to work like that. We are going to coordinate an exchange point, where we'll trade Cadance for our friends. The exchange will take place tonight at midnight. You will send a single guard--an earth pony, for that matter--to a location that we'll tell you later. At that locations, your single guard will let our friends loose, and we will, in turn, let her go."
"Agreed, then." Princess Celestia said.
"No tricks, by the way. No other soldiers, no spells, no illusions, no mind control, no anything. No ponies hiding out of sight waiting for us to make ourselves vulnerable, no pegasi hiding behind storm clouds, not a thing. Not one single thing. You got that?"
"Agreed." Princess Celestia said, dramatically sighing. "If it means that Princess Cadance remains healthy and safe within your clutches, I will abide by your terms."
I nodded back at the webcam. "Fine, then."
.....A few minutes later, I and the others were out of range of Cadence and the webcam, hidden behind a few solid steel doors.
"Where should we make the exchange take place, then?" I said, looking at our map.
"There's that old gas station off of Highway 112." Frank said, tapping a particular spot on the map. "Its isolated and easy as hell to drive away from."
"That works." Steve said.
"....All right then." I said. "Great."
