The world outside was completely different from the real one. The medieval walls standing over the old European style town would've been a dead give away. But in addition to that are many fantasy creatures in the streets, from elves, dwarves, dragon people, lizardmen, in addition to the humans. In your room you find a map of the world. At first glance it already matches the old style of ancient maps of the real world with its extreme detail. Not detail to show accuracy, obviously, but detail that makes it look more like a work of art. From the tiny figures of people living in different areas, the shaded terrain features, and the occasional sea monster in the Terra Incognito. This world (or the continent the map shows) is shaped like a misshapen rhino head. It was fully inhabited by different races and realms, but the one you seemed to be located in was apparently the United Kingdom of Dracalia, Manford, and Western Rivenbell. There were also multiple dark tower symbols dotting the map, but you didn't know what they meant.
Adventurers and knights also patrol the streets too. It really is the isekai you've always sought after. Almost.
