Ruby was glad her semblance and aura still seemed to work just fine, even if she still felt incomplete in a way she couldn't describe without her soul. She used her petal burst sparingly to advance through a map that so far looked.. quite dull. From what she knew about Gods and demons the environment should be a bit more evil looking than this, certainly less black and grey, but then again all her experience was fighting Grimm, soulless creatures that weren't demons and that were attracted to negative emotions. This was a bit different being a sin and all, a sin she didn't even know much about with the way she was so busy all the time being fast tracked as a huntress in training.

"Oh.. okay, a bit fancy but let's do this" Ruby thought with a sigh as she finally could see something, some sort of small colosseum that made a striking first impression but then again seemed as deserted as everything else. She approached cautiously, getting her weapon ready and remembering she should be getting this done as soon as possible to help her teammates, without letting her guard down.

"Um.. hello? I'm ready for the challenge.. mister Demon.. you here?" Ruby tried as she walked inside the building and found it empty. According to what the sin of lust or the boss demon or whoever it was, she would have a chance to succeed so she expected a honorable 1v1 combat, no nasty surprises. There was also the fact that the map didn't show anything else, she wouldn't know what to do if there was nothing here.

"So be it" A voice said and Ruby gasped as she saw a strange being that had animal like features but wasn't a faunus or a Grimm. It had wings, fangs and whiskers, and it definitely wasn't human. It was also carrying something that emitted an ethereal light blue shine, and Ruby somehow knew immediately what it was.

"Th-that's my soul" The creature nodded

"Did I pick the right path?"

"There's no wrong path. Your challenge, your soul" The creature stated. Suddenly it flew backwards and left the soul floating, with 4 floating pillars appearing as steps.

"What's that?"

"Overcome all the challenges to retrieve your soul" The creature stated in a neutral tone

"Oh..Can't we just fight or something? That looks like it will take a long time" Ruby scratched her head, wondering why she was bothering to argue, but then again, she wasn't thrilled one challenge suddenly became four.

"You can't win in a fight, you must have a chance to succeed"

"Is that so? Gah-" Ruby thought it was a provocation but suddenly her head start hurting and she understood what the creature was talking about. It was for just a second but she could see them, a lot of eyes watching her, invisible demons that would be unleashed upon her in a fight. Nevermind not knowing how they fought, just the number and how they could all be invisible was overwhelming enough to think twice about it.

"There must be another way, huh?" Ruby was just talking out loud but suddenly the pillars disappeared

"Allow lust within your soul and you can leave immediately" the creature stated, as a small ball of dark pink light appeared and started to orbit around the light blue soul.

"What does that mean?" Ruby tried gathering more info but the creature just ignored her

"You don't have much time, never have" the creature stated, this time sounding like it was taunting her for some reason

"Huh?"

"Choose" the creature said, looking like it wanted Ruby to allow lust within her, whatever that meant. She could go help her team immediately, but surely it was something bad, right? Considering the other options, she remembered even if it was a fight she should be able to have a chance to succeed, but she couldn't ignore the safest option was just playing by the rules of this creature.

What happens next?
