"You're quite the determined one, aren't you? Most people would've been content with the gift I gave them, used it for their own pleasure, never expected one to find the sender."
He sips from his glass, watching you over the rim. "But not you. You had to go and dig deeper, didn't you? And now here you are."
You cross your arms over your chest, lifting your chin. "You sent me a weapon, alien in nature, with no instructions, no context. Of course I had questions. What the hell is this thing? Why did you send it to me?"
The Proxy chuckles, a low, rich sound. "The shrink ray, or the Raygun, whatever you called it, was not my creation. I merely... distributed it, shall we say. The true creator is gone now, dead from some wasting disease. But before he passed, he wanted to conduct one final experiment a last wish, to me."
He steps closer, his voice lowering. "To give an ordinary person an impossible power, and see what they'd do with it. How they'd choose to wield it, for good or ill. And so he sent his device to a stranger, with no strings attached."
Proxy's eyes bore into yours. "You were the lucky winner. The average Joe, plucked from obscurity and granted the power akin to gods. And now, here you stand, doggedly pursuing the man who set this wheel in motion."
He spreads his arms wide. "So what now, hmm? You've found me, confronted me. But what do you want?? Answers, you have gotten already? Or do you want to take this experiment to its inevitable conclusion?"
He steps back, gesturing to a door behind him. "I have a proposition for you. Behind that door is a harem of beautiful women, each one uniquely skilled in the arts of pleasure. Spend a night in their company, use the device as you see fit, and emerge tomorrow a new person. Or..."
He snaps his fingers. "I can wipe your memory of this entire affair. Leave you back where you started, blissfully unaware, and you continue on with your life still holding the weapon, still in pursuit of pleasure. The choice is yours."
He raises his glass in a silent toast. "So what will it be? Do you dare to see how deep this rabbit hole goes both literal and figurative? Or do you return to the comfort of ignorance? The night is young after all."
