Meg A Tale of the Grand Skies chapter 3 by EnviTheFool

Margaret "Meg" Bluemarine was an ordinary girl with a simple desire: to have a nice vacation at Auguste, a floating archipelago that has become famous as a premiere resort location. Her wish, however, went ungranted, as her visits to Auguste were ruined year after year by calamities and unfortunate happenstances.

Meg eventually concluded that she could never have a peaceful vacation unless she took charge of her own destiny. After enduring harsh training in the mountains to become a real righter and forming a bond with Ursula, her flying mutant pet shark with whom she can fuse to unleash tremendous power. They now fight together to protect the skies and to uphold the peace of her beloved Auguste.

She is in a relationship with Mari, a childhood friend who has since developed feelings for Meg after witnessing the bravery, determination, and killer abs that her training brought out of her... despite of Meg's insistence that she's the same old ordinary Meg.
