Sudden feelings of weakness, combined with a peculiar mental fog forming simultaneously with trembling. Eyesight was flaring in and out of focus. All of Will's symptoms originated from a familiar feeling that had been amplified to such an extent that it had been unrecognizable at the start, but had since then become impossible to ignore.
*GROOOOOOOWL*
He was hungry.
Will, akin to many other scholars, was adept at blatantly ignoring his own hunger when the alternative was research. There had been times when, in a fit of enthused mania, he had forgotten to eat for an entire day. It had been nothing compared to the fasting he had occasionally done during his time in the clergy. But the hunger Will was feeling at this very moment trumped everything that had come before it.
His pen had crawled down to a near halt as his thoughts scattered for good, only managing to focus on all kinds of foods that he wasn't eating right now, and getting increasingly angry at this fact. The saliva that escaped through his open mouth was quickly making whatever results he had managed to write down utterly illegible. Will chomped at the pen in frustration, only to throw it away as his mouth rejected it as edible. He had become unable to think, and unable to begin thinking until something was done about this. His stomach roared to voice its agreement.
Will glanced around and quickly grabbed the nearest thing that made his mouth water...
