“I see your point,” the Queen states, after some contemplation. “But I have a few conditions first: One he must bow and pledge alliegance to me, agreeing to rule as my puppet. He can make any law he wants as long as I approve of it, but I can veto anything he does. Two, you must be his only wife and Queen from now on. No more harems, as they got him into this mess to begin with. You will have the ability to veto any measure of his on my behalf. Three, he must come to my palace once a year to pledge his loyalty to me and do as I please with him.” She gives you a suggestive wink at the last one.
Melek replies, “Those terms are great.”
“I know you would think that, but what about you?” the queen asks turning to you. “You who has broken more of your oaths to me than sand in a seashore. Is that okay with you?”
You pause for a second. You don’t want to be a puppet ruler for her: even though you have no memory of having worked with you, you have inherited a visceral dislike of her from Sultan whose body you occupy. You wanted to rule with absolute impunity, not be a puppet to another power hungry and probably even queen. You also love the idea of having a harem to play with, but Melek seems nice and gentle, a lot safer to just be with her. You may not have a choice though.
