Kathy goes back to the Cinnabon store and sets her bag down on the desk and then goes out to see how her staff is doing as the store is starting to get busy. She was careless on how she set her bag down and it falls over on it's side. Jack sees the top isn't completely zipped and he is able to crawl to the opening. He is able to squeeze out and finds himself on top of the manager's desk. There is a lamp with a cord hanging down and Jack is able to climb down to the floor. He thinks he needs to play this smart if he wants to avoid being sold to the highest bidder.
Jack moves along the edge of the back room's wall to avoid being seen by anyone and slowly makes his way back out to the front of the store. He sees the manager, Kathy working the register but Lydia is no where to be seen. He sees the blond girl from earlier filling orders. He could try his luck with her or try to move out from behind the counter. He remembers from times he had been there in the past that the other side is the open mall food court and anything could happen to him out there. On the other hand, if he tries the blond employee, she might alert the manager. Then he sees another girl working there that just came back from outside. She is a thin redhead that appears to be younger probably high school age. None of his options are good he thinks.
Jack gets a possible break when he hears Kathy the manager tell the blond, "Lisa, you can take your break now." and he gets and idea. The blond, Lisa, come over close to where Jack his and takes off her apron so she can take a mean break. Jack seizes the opportunity and leaps onto her sneaker and gabs onto the laces as hard as he can as she starts walking first to the backroom and then out into the food court.
Lisa goes out to an empty table and sits down with her bag lunch that she had retrieved from the back of the store. jack decides that this girl knows Lydia so she is probably his best chance. He climbs up and punches her ankle as hard as he can until she looks down and sees him on her shoe. She says "What the hell." and reaches down and lifts hi off her shoe and onto the table. Jack says "Oh thank you. I am in so much trouble and I need your help." She looks concerned and asks "What are you, why are you on my sneaker and what do you want?"
Jack says "That's a lot but my name is Jack and I am a friend of your co-worker Lydia. I used to be normal size and she has the formula that can restore me. I came to the store to get her help but your manager found me and is trying to sell me off to get a new car. I just escaped from her bag and I was hoping you'd help me out." Lisa shakes her head and says "Yeah, Kathy's a bitch. So what do you want from me?" as she goes back to eating her lunch.
Jack thinks this is going pretty good so far and asks "Can you help me get to Lydia?" Lisa tells him "Yeah about that. Lydia went home for the day and she isn't working again until the day after tomorrow." Lisa offers you a tiny piece of her sandwich and continues "Anyway, I don't have a car. I'm getting a ride home from my friend who works in the mall." Jack asks "Do you think she'd give me a ride to Lydia's?" Lisa looks up and says "Maybe, here she comes now and we can ask her."
A tall thin girl with shoulder length black hair comes over and sits down across from Lisa. "How's it going?" she asks without noticing Jack on the table. Lisa replies "Hey Madison. Check this out. I found this little guy that's trying to get one of my co-workers but my manager wants to sell him. Think you can give him a ride after the mall closes."
Madison reaches over without hesitation and grabs up Jack between her fingers. "Aren't you a little cutie." she says as she strokes Jack with her free hand. "I think you should come home with me instead. What do you think, tiny?" Jack is taken aback by how forward this girl is and says "I need to find my friend Lydia to get back to normal." Madison closes her hand into a fist around Jack and continues "That stank Lydia? She owes me money from when we all went out to dinner three months ago. How about I hold onto this little guy until she pays me back."
Lisa says "I don't know. I feel bad for him. He is so small and helpless." Madison replies "Relax, I'm not going to eat him or anything. I'll take care of him, you know, feed him, give him some place to sleep. He'll be fine. It'll just be a few days and then I'll get him back to her."
Lisa thinks about it and tells Madison...
