Jack tries climbing out several times until he is exhausted. He tried yelling up to Zoe when she came in the room but she had put on music and that drowned out his tiny voice. Jack was desperate to get out of the boot before Zoe's mom comes back and finds him.
Things weren't looking good when Zoe's mom comes in and tells her to turn the music down and starts making small talk with her daughter fishing to see if she could figure out if Zoe had seen Jack yet with out coming right out and giving the secret away. Jack stays hidden and quiet listening to the conversation and hoping he'll have a chance to get her attention once her mother leaves.
Eventually her mom leaves and Jack starts yelling at Zoe as loud as he can. Zoe hears his tiny voice and is puzzled where it is coming from "Who's there?" she asked. Jack replies "Zoe, It's me Jack. Look in your Uggs." Zoe goes over to her boot, picking it up and looking inside seeing tiny Jack inside waving up to her. "Why are you so small and what are you doing in my boot?" she asked him.
Zoe carried the boot over to her bed and turned it over spilling Jack out onto the blanket of her bed. "What the fuck? Explain this." she tells him. Jack stands up on the blanket and explains that he found a way to shrink so she could have her fantasy and forgive him for the past but her mom found him first and he had to hide. Zoe replies "That explains why my mom was so squirrely. So you thought I'd take you back if you were tiny? What about your life?" Jack continues "Don't worry. There's an antidote. I'll tell you where it is."
Zoe is on her knees on the floor at the edge of the bed watching Jack and asks "Who else knows about this?" Jack replies "Just my friend Lydia. She arranged to get me here by mailing me to your house and has the antidote. You can call her." Zoe just smiles and she processes everything and tells Jack "Well it's too bad you got lost in the mail." Jack looks confused "No I didn't. I'm here." Zoe gives Jack a push with her index finger and he falls back onto the bed and says "No you never made it. At least that's what Lydia will think. So sad that she was complicit in her friend's death. She's may get over it given enough time but I don't really care about that because I got what I always wanted... a little toy sized man of my very own. The best part is that it's you that gets to be my toy. Perfect revenge for cheating on me."
Jack interrupts her and says "You can't keep me like this forever and for the hundredth time I didn't cheat on you." Zoe grabs Jack up in her fingertips lifting him off the bed and says "No back talk from you anymore, tiny." She gets her boot off the floor and drops him inside again. "That should hold you till I get back." she tells him "Now I need to get my mom to stop looking for you and leave us alone. When I get back I can start teaching you about your new place in my life." She sets the boot down and leaves to talk to her mother.
Jack tries climbing out again worried about Zoe's plans but has no more success than he did earlier. He sat at the bottom lamenting his choices. He spent less than five minutes with Zoe and things have already gone sideways. He didn't anticipate things could have gone this way.
Jack hears Zoe come back in the room and he hopes things might get better. She crosses the room and picks up her boot looking down at Jack lying at the bottom and says "Good news. I explained the situation to my mom and she won't bother you." Jack asks "Do you call Lydia about the antidote?" Zoe frowns and says "You need to listen better. Maybe you need a demonstration." She tilts the boot and Jack tumbles toward the toe section and a moment later the light from above is blotted out as Zoe inserts her foot. Jack tries to escape trying to climb past her foot but gets caught face down between the top of her foot and the soft fur against her back totally immobilizing him. Zoe slips on the other boot and starts walking.
Jack hears her tell him "I need to run out to pick up dinner. You can come along and learn your new place in my world." as she leaves the house with Jack helplessly jammed in her boot. Each step Zoe takes shakes Jack's core and he curses himself for being so stupid and hoping the trip won't last too long.
