Zoe's mom is passed out on her bed and Jack is on the floor not sure what to do when Zoe comes in the room and sees her mom on the bed.  She rushes over and tries to wake her mom and Kate slowly comes out of it.   Jack sees the cardboard box that he was shipped in lying need by.  He runs over to it and pushes it under the bed to hide it from sight. 

Meanwhile Kate wakes up and Zoe asks "Mom, what happened to you?"  She seems a bit confused and replies "I was dizzy and passed out.  I'm not sure why.  Maybe my blood sugar is low and I need to get something to eat.  Jack sees Zoe's sneaker and gets an idea.  He runs over to it while she is talking to her mom and jumps on holding tight to the laces hoping he get s free ride to Zoe's room.

Zoe is still talking to her mom who sits up and says "I'm fine."   Zoe asks "Do you want me to get you anything?  a drink?  a snack?"   Her mom waves her off saying "I'm fine.  I'm just going to get a snack from the kitchen."  Jack is relieved as he hears this and hopes that she forgot about opening the package and seeing him.

Kate stands up and says "Thanks Zoe.  I just need something to eat."   She walks towards the door and Zoe says "Well I'm coming with you.  I'll have a snack too."  and they both walk downstairs to the kitchen.  Jack curses his bad luck of this detour but figures it is only a matter a time till Zoe goes back to her room and he'll be able to talk to her.

Kate and Zoe reach the kitchen sitting down at the table while they talk and have something to eat.  Jack continues to hang on and hope this little side trip won't last to long.  However things take a turn for the worse when Zoe crosses her leg under the table and starts to nervously shake it her foot.  This change of position turns Jack sideways and he slides off her sneaker leaving him hanging by his grip on her laces.

Jack hangs on best he can but this grip is slipping and eventually he loses his grip and falls to the kitchen floor with a thud.  He recovers from the fall just in time to see Zoe's shoe come back down as she is getting ready to stand up and leave.  He know he is about to lose his ride to Zoe's room and runs for her closest sneaker hoping to jump back on.
