Billy took a big breath (which for him was really very small) and stepped back into the massive bedroom where everything had gone wrong. Where am I supposed to start? Billy’s mind kept flashing to his near-death experience. Getting big was a priority. He couldn’t live like this forever, he just couldn’t. Dear lord, his own mother…his MOM had tried to squish him like he was…was a bug.

Billy trekked across the floor until he met carpet. He would need to climb up that. The rug was about the same height he was. Taking that into consideration Billy kind of understood how him mom hadn’t recognized him. Billy had to reach up to his max to get a hand hold over the edge of the rug which wasn’t easy because it wasn’t solid like a wall, more rounded and mushy like a stand dune or something like that. Billy had to scrabble using his lateral muscles to pull his legs up on the side and get up there. Half pulling and half rolling Billy made it over the edge and just laid there panting...”I didn’t know I was so weak,” Billy said to himself. Why am I talking to myself, was his next thought? The ground started vibrating again, suddenly all feelings of fatigue was gone and Billy jumped up and looked out the massive chasm that was the bedroom door! It was wide open.

Billy looked out at what to him was a far distance away. He could see the whole door frame, like a building when looked at it from distance. The ground vibrated faintly and Billy saw its source, Kaitlin, walked by the open door way. On an instinctive level Billy recognized her only, only from his perspective she was like a skyscraper had come to life. Her legs walked in this kind of leisurely but same time impossible movement, like something that big shouldn’t be able to move or bend…BOOM. Kaitlin (Kati) took a step and the ground faintly rumbled. The tall girl was in a white T-Shirt, not like the one Billy had lost just a little while ago. The shirt didn’t hide that Kati was also wearing pink gym shorts with JUICY visible across the bum. But to Billy his tall, thin sister was now a monster. Her exposed legs looked like what Billy thought a wale would look like, all sinew and muscle visible behind a wall of flesh. And that JUICY was curved, way more than Billy ever thought before. Kati had always been relatively flat…but when you are so small, nothing was flat. Billy quickly had to change his perspective on things. Billy didn’t get a chance to look at Kati’s face because her long brown hair swung loose obscure his view and then BOOM she was gone, out of sight but the vibrations of her steps faded only slowly.

With renewed vigor Billy resumed walking/running across the multicolored rug. Unlike the tile of the bathroom or the wood floor this was far more difficult, like walking on the beach. Billy’s every foot step sunk into the squishy fiber and he had to work that much harder to get some distance.

Billy headed towards the massive structure which was his mother’s bed. The remote had been near there he was sure. Billy got close, close enough that he could see partially under the bed. There were several lumps which looked like discarded clothing, and boxes, but no remote. Billy came closer but realized that under the bed was too dark and he couldn’t see from here. Did the remote fall under the bed? Billy stopped and tried to remember, replaying the accident. With all the craziness Billy couldn’t remember seeing where the remote fell.

Looking around Billy saw his mother’s chest of drawers and her vanity table. There was chance that Patricia could have already found the remote and moved it. If she had he bet she’d put it up there somewhere. Either way Billy had to walk and he knew time was running out, Patricia could come back at any moment.
