You get up decide to avoid the awkward conversations and go into your mom with her unaware. If things went well, she wouldn't even need to know! You take the ring and head over to your computer to run some diagnostics so that the ring doesn't explode during use. The computer analyzes the device and reads green across the board. You take the ring and get up, ready to make the perilous journey into Mom or die trying... hopefully with less dying. Before you head out, you think about what kind of method of insertion you want to go for.
You could sneak into her pancakes and go in as soon as possible. Hopefully, you could find the ring before it moves on deeper into your Mom, but you don't know how well the prototype could handle being chewed and crushed by your Mom's teeth. And if you make it past her mouth there's the issue of her stomach acids, which even the ring you're after isn't fully equipped to handle, but it certainly would make it bearable to escape.
You could wait until she takes her nap. She takes one usually after she finishes cleaning the house for the weekend. It should be more stable unless she tosses or turns in her sleep, but other than that it should be fine. That and there should be no activity in her stomach so minimal level of acids to affect you. The downside being the ring will have most likely have passed on deeper into your Mom's intestines at that point. It will most likely be a few hours before she decides to take her nap anyway.
