The large laboratory hummed gently in the dark with the occasional burst of light clicks as some machines punched down information. The lab was a typical lab, desks and instruments neatly arranged around the room. Four large tables dominated the room, each of the tables was twenty feet long and five feet wide, though there were some variations, smaller tables pushed up and joined with the longer tables to add more space. The tables were not bare or stacked with instruments. Each had a clear plastic border around their edges, five inches high; between the plastic it looked more like a landscape then anything with fields of green, brown, a vast expanses of golden brown, and then blots of grey with grey lines running between each of the blobs, with multi-colored areas along these grey lines. One might think they were looking at maps were they to view the tables, and they would be almost correct. Each of the tables was just what it seemed, an expanse of terrain of all sorts, their own little worlds really. Each table had what looked like a tablet plugged in on a little holding-rack, with information displayed on each one. These tables were the observational experiments of a well-respected Prodigian most simply knew as Kelly. Each of these tables had all the smaller sizes in them, intermixed and allowed to ‘roam free’ as it were, with machines observing their progress.

Jennifer frowned as she sat on a hill; down below in a long valley shone the concentration of lights usual of a medium-sized town. The 43 year old Brobdingnagian woman would never had guessed she would be in such a situation. She had been ‘collected’ by Kelly almost a year ago, and dropped into this walled off social experiment. The Brobby woman shifted a bit as she sat, hearing a ‘crack’ as her shifting rump cracked a tree and knocked it over. That brought a smile to her face. She had actually grown to like it there, no holier-than-thou neighbors shooting her judging looks as she ate a Gulliverian by the poolside, no news reports of ‘size appreciation’, or stupid laws meant to cater to the insects below her. She knew she was an insect to the Prodigians, but they didn’t care what she did to the even smaller insects. ‘Not like Kelly was one to judge either.’ Jenn thought and grinned.

Jennifer had been a mother of three, typical middle class mom who worked for a living. Her life had been fine, until her daughters had all started taking an interest in Gulliverians. Jenn could understand having Gulliverian friends, she had a few herself, but her girls had been romantically interested in Gulliverians, and not in the ‘use them as toys and stimulation’ way.

It wasn’t right. She must have killed a dozen of her girl’s boyfriends, finding them in their bedrooms while her daughters were at school. She had kept one alive since he had just been so polite and respectful. The older woman rewarded manners, after all. Still, it had been unbearable. Then Kelly had come.

She remembered it so well, the tremors that shook her as she stood by her car. She remembered feeling—excited by it, and then she had seen her, the Prodigian woman standing over her suburb like a goddess, a grin on her lips. Jenn remembered the huge woman’s clothing, black business slacks that hugged her hips and thighs loosely, a white undershirt that also hugged her form, her trim belly and her rather massive breasts. Moreover, she wore a blindingly white lab coat, which shimmered under the sun’s rays. She remembered how it had contrasted with the woman’s dark colored skin. Jenn then looked at the Prodigian’s face. She was remarkably beautiful, full lips, a youthful appearance, her brilliant green eyes and her short hair like a buzz cut. Her lips had been moving but Jenn was memorized, before the booming voice shook her from her daze.

‘I said, pack your things.’ Kelly’s commanding voice said as she took a step toward Jenn, her sneaker covered foot crashing down on a house with the family still inside. Jenn had never liked them anyway. The rest of the day had been a blur, she remembered packing a bag, hugging her daughters for a final farewell. She willingly stepped onto Kelly’s hand before being taken away. It had been a fun year since then, all told. Jenn had been the first Brobby Kelly collected, and they actually formed a decent friendship. Jenn was like a goddess here, able to do as she pleased to those smaller then her with no repercussions, since she knew when her goddess, Kelly, wanted one area not touched in a bad way. Jenn had grown a liking to watching Kelly deal with Brobbies who displeased her. She suspected Kelly was doing this experiment just to have fun, and hell, it was a brilliant idea, entire little worlds for her to lord over and do as she wished.

Jenn was brought back to the present as she heard the delightful screams coming from down in the town, there was a fair in town. The Brobby smiled and stood up, brushing remains of trees and other things off her jean covered rear, before she started walking down the hill, grinning as she could now, truly imagine what she looked like to the Gulliverians, it made it so much more exciting. Then, just before she crossed over the highway that was between her and the town, the night vanished and the ‘sun’ came out. Kelly had come to work.
