You saw some people ahead, and they... didn't look the most modern. All their clothes seemed to be fashioned from leaves, grasses, and animal skins—for the ladies, little more than a top with a grass skirt, and for the guys, at most they had just a loincloth. Some of them had what looked like gold or silver jewelry on their wrists and ankles, and almost all of them had a tattoo of some variety, but otherwise they wore very little, leaving much of their bodies exposed to the elements... bodies with breathtaking physiques expected of people who live their lives dealing with wild animals and fishing off the land. Some appeared to be fishing right then and there, spear-fishing specifically, while others held their spears up on guard, and others just lounged (some even disrobing as they did so). And further behind them, you could see some wooden huts that likely constituted their village.

Perhaps you should approach them? Despite their weaponry, they seem friendly... And pretty open with each other. Might be easy for you to request shelter from them.
