Chapter 5
Anon felt his cheeks flush when he heard the elder princess giggle, while the younger merely straightened her posture and smiled. “Over the centuries many have said that about us, but to hear that from you means something” Luna said as her smile continued to warm Anon’s heart.
“I concur, thank you good sir” Celestia said placing a gentle hand on her guest shoulder.
“You’re *ahem* welcome” Anon said as he cleared his throat, hoping to sound confident instead of anxious as he often felt. A sudden knock came to the door as someone in a nurses uniform walked in. “Your majesty's nurse curtsied as she spoke'', `` I'm here for the patient, are either of you staying?”
Anon thought he saw Princess Luna frown when she stood “No unfortunately, I must prepare for the moon rising”
“But I shall remain, and don’t worry sister, our quest will be here when you return.” Celestia could clearly see her sister was upset and wished she could help, but Luna had her duties to fulfill. “Thank you sister-dear and rest well and young Anon” the grace and poise Luna displayed spoke immeasurably of her character as a princess, which reminded Anon to show her the respect she was owed.
He bowed his hand and thanked her grace and watched as she walked away, her royal gown flowing as she walked. After Lunas exit the Nurse began to inspect Anon, doing what she could to understand the outsiders anatomy in an attempt to avoid pain. Anon felt uncomfortable with the nurse touching and inspecting his body, but that was only because Celestia was there watching.
Unbeknownst to Anon, Celestia felt the same way. She did not want to make the stranger feel uneasy but she remained in case her magic might be needed. As the night drew near, Celestia discomfort faded when she saw how similar she was to Anon. Despite his lack of appearance, the human was just like her and the other Ponies. An odd sense of relief overcame the Princess when the nurse confirmed that Anon was doing well. The nurse told the human he would need more rest and that he keep movement at a minimum. Anon thanked the nurse as she left and Anon was taken aback when Celestia took her sister's spot on the bed and looked as if she were about to ask a question…
