Rainbow Dash quietly sat down beside Applejack, her face still stained with tear marks that glistened in the sunlight. She sniffed a few times as she focused her attention on the farm pony beside her. Although Dash tried her best to look calm and collected, those cerise eyes of hers proved otherwise. They were filled with regret and melancholy deep within.

"I... I don't understand. What is there to talk about? The damage has already been done. I rutted your brother like a mare on her first heat. I guess you and your brother will have a hard time ever forgiving me," she said dejectedly while eyeing Applejack.

The looks on the pegasus' face made Applejack hesitate to share what she's been hiding for so long; she couldn't bring herself to tell Rainbow about her infertility and break her fragile psyche any further. The orange mare imagined the various ways that Rainbow would react to the news and none of them sounds good. But Applejack reminded herself that she can't hide the truth forever. She could delay it for a day, weeks, months, or even years but sooner or later, it'll have to come out. Telling Dash right now is her best option. Honesty is her element and she will do what's needed to uphold that. Closing her eyes calmly, Applejack took a deep breath and heaved a long sigh. This is for your own good, Rainbow., she thought.

"Sugarcube, did you remember the last time you went to the hospital 'cause of that flying stunt you were performing?"

"Uh...yeah. That's the Canterlot Aerial Show about a year or two ago. I ended up flying way too fast and crashed rump-first through the wall and landed in The Princess's room. That was the most awful injury I did to my rump. My backside felt shattered. It took about two weeks before I could sit down or use the restroom.... So why would you ask this?"

"Well, sugarcube, that's the problem," Applejack replied composedly.

"Wait, no. I'm perfectly fine. Didn't the doctor told me that I was up and flying sooner than he expected.? He even told me that my marehood is all fine."

Applejack cringed at the last sentence. She knew how hard this is going to be for the cerulean mare. The only thing she wished for was that Dash could somehow accept it. Applejack mentally gulped and prepared for the worst.

"Rainbow," Applejack said firmly, "While we're in the hospital, the girls told you that there's nothing for you to worry about your body, right?"

Rainbow only nodded.

"I'm afraid that we weren't exactly honest with you."

"....huh?"

"It's time for you to hear what went down at the hospital that day," Applejack stammered.

"...What really happened?" Rainbow pressed.

Applejack paused for a moment to collect her thoughts and put the story in a way the Pegasus could understand. She heaved another sigh before she continued.

"It was almost midnight at your second day at the hospital. The girls are all gathered at the doctor's office to hear about your condition. when the doctor came in, that thick folder he had in his hoof told us something was wrong. I mostly understand the situation through Twilight's translation of those difficult terms. The doctor told us that crash you had directly impacted your uterus and ovaries, causing the awful pain you were feeling. That wasn't only some nasty bruises you got then. The doc showed us an X-ray photo of tears in your Fallopian tubes which connects your ovaries to your womb. The uterus also showed signs of trauma in multiple areas. It was just bad. I couldn't bring myself to hear the rest of the doctor's explanation."

Rainbow look at Applejack who was on the brink of crying.

"..Wha...what does that mean for me then?" she said fearfully.

"The doctor said that those wounds would heal but there would be long term damages to you reproductive ability. Meaning that you.....," Applejack broke down and leaned against Rainbow."

"That I'm what?! Tell me AJ! Just bucking tell me!!!" The pegasus said frantically.

".........Rainbow...you won't be able to have foals anymore."

The revelation felt like a lightning strike for Rainbow Dash. Every single muscle on her body can to a standstill. Her wings fell limp to the sides as her mind threatened to shut down completely. Applejack could see the wide-eyed, dazed expression on the mare's face through her blurry eyes.

"no.....no.........NOOOO!!! This can't be happening! It's all just a joke, right? Tell me Applejack, please tell me this is a joke."

"I'm sorry sugarcube," Applejack said sadly, "but that's the honest truth."

Rainbow Dash looked up at Applejack to find her gazing back at her with remorse. In those emerald eyes, she saw her own face looking back at her with the same lost expression. Her multi-colored mane is completely disheveled and her own eyes red from crying.

Inside Applejack's body, you and Big Mac quietly listened to the exchange and sobbed.
