You landed upon something soft after being pulled in from the pupil. A quick glance around indicate that you are in some kind of control room. The little Soarin' that dragged you in here motioned for you to stay silent. The pony returned to a seat with a dashboard filled with buttons and levers. He instructed you to look out from the pair of openings. You did as instructed. You saw the bedroom and a very upset looking pegasus approaching from the window. Looking out the pupil, you watched the drama unfold before you.
"Soarin'! Why the hay are you lying in your bed? Get your flimsy flank up, NOW!" Spitfire glared directly at Soarin'.
Umm...hey Spitfire! How are you doing today?"
You heard the pony at the control speak into a tubelike apparatus.
"How am I doing? HOW AM I DOING?!! You snuck off the training camp for your little shuteye. And you expect me to be happy?"
"The morning routine was exhausting and I really needed some rest."
"If you hadn't been up reading that Pie Encyclopedia, you wouldn't be like this. Come in now! The team is waiting for you," Spitfire barked.
"<I>Sigh</I> alright. I'll tag along real quick. Just give me a minute."
"If this happens again, I'm demoting you for real!" Spitfire said before she flew off.
The Soarin besides you trembled in fear at the yellow Pegasus.
It felt like being yelled at for someone else's problem.
"Seems that Spit had a real bad day today," he said.
"Who...what exactly are you?"
"I'm Soarin' or at least a magical projection of my master."
"Magical projection? But I can feel and touch you."
"You simply need a more powerful spell. I'm curious, might I know who you are?"
"I'm a mage, a human practitioner of Equestrian magic. I'm interested in exploring the inner workings of a pony and other creatures. Nice to meet you, Soarin'."
"Good to see you too, mage. But as you can see, I'm not a good situation right now. My master isn't really well today."
"What seems to be the problem?"
"That's a long story. You have time for that?" the little Soarin' asked.
"No problem. Fire away."
