Tails stared at his phone in the ship. Amy of all people wanted to call him, given the situation he's in right now? He didn't know if he should answer the call or not. Was it something very important, or a simple question? The fox sighed. Amy would likely keep trying to call him if it was important, so he decided that he would answer the call, so he could get it over with.
Tails held the phone to the side of his face. "Hello?"
He heard Amy's voice on the other end. "Tails, I need your help."
Tails raised a brow. "What for, an opinion on fashion?"
"Hey! I'm not a complete fashion nerd! I'm talking about something more important than that."
Tails's face gained a curious look. "Really? Do tell."
Amy sounded like she was hesitating, as if she didn't want to say this out loud to him, until finally, "Tails... I want to have a baby."
Tails's eyes widened, his pupils shrinking. "W-...WHAT!?" Cream flinched at his change of tone. "Am I hearing this correctly??"
"It's not what you think, Tails! I was talking to Rouge about something the government decided to do for pregnant hedgehogs, and she suggested that I talk to you about it."
Tails sighed, pinching his nose. "Of course Rouge would be the one to suggest that." He let go of his nose, trying to keep a calm expression. "What do you need help with?"
"Rouge thought that you could help with donation; you know, how Vanilla gave birth to Cream."
Tails didn't like where this was going. "Um... in what way?"
"...Well, maybe we can discuss it further in your workshop?"
"That's the best idea I've heard from you today."
"...This is the first time I talked to you today."
"Whatever. I'll see you soon."
"Okay, bye!"
Tails hangs up, and Cream walks toward him, asking what they were talking about. Tails stared at his phone, before turing to Cream with an anxious look in his eyes.
"...I think we'll have to tell Amy what we've been doing to help her with something."
Tails held the phone to the side of his face. "Hello?"
He heard Amy's voice on the other end. "Tails, I need your help."
