Just as she mentioned, she went upstairs to where the rooms are located. You followed the thief without much problem, she couldn't see you nor hear you which was really and adventage. There were two rooms, though One was open and looked like a second workshop or laboratory for more smaller invensions but with a bed in it and then there was one closed which you guessed to be Tails' room, Rouge didn't take an account on the second Workshop and simply went to the main room.
