You appeared in a dark alley, and it was raining.
"How topical," you mumbled to yourself before conjuring an umbrella to cover yourself.
You walked out of the alley and were greeted by a familiar sight, a huge metropolitan area. You recognized some of the buildings, both from the show and from some photos of Japan, and picked a random direction to walk.
After doing some exploring you came to a familiar bakery, and it was open. You could go in and gather some information right now. Or you could search for a place to stay first and gather information later.
