You could go to one of those alternate timelines featured in the Cutie Re-mark that were created after Starlight changed history.
Crystal War Timeline- The ponies are in a desperate struggle to force back King Sombra and the Crystal Empire.
Nightmare Takeover Timeline- Nightmare Moon succeeded in sealing her sister in the moon and is now the sole ruler of Equestria.
Resistance Timeline: Queen Chrysalis has taken over is sending her drones all over to capture ponies to feed on.
There are a few others but they appear to be too wrecked or dangerous to bother traveling to them.
