Getting to know Moondancer

Well, you did always want to see more flashback episodes from when the cast were much younger.
After some long deliberation you reached up with arms out wide and firmly grasped the memory orb. You gasped and staggered as the buzzing resumed, except this time much stronger, and you began to see swirling colors and voices bouncing around in your noggin.
Instead of hearing Moondancer's voice narrate like before the scene around you instantly dissolved and faded, the colors in your head now swarming and twisting in your vision. You reflexively closed your eyes and began to hear the clear sound of voices and peals of laughter coming from somewhere close by.
You opened your eyes and nearly recoiled in shock at what you found. You were standing in some kind of classroom setting with rows and rows of long tables filling the space. All around you a large group of unicorn foals no older than 8 or 9 filled the seats, eagerly conversing with their classmates about this and that and giggling like schoolchildren are wont to do. You recognized Lyra Heartstrings, Lemon Hearts, Twinkleshine and Minuette all sitting together in a close cluster, meanwhile not too far away sitting all by herself was a familiar looking cream colored filly with her face almost completely obscured by the open book she was reading. Your jaw slowly dropped and you stared at the scene slack-jawed in sheer disbelief. This was what looked to be an exact replica of the classroom of Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns first seen in Amending Fences, and that little filly reading the book had to be Moondancer. You actually did it. You were going to get a front row seat to a first hand look into Moondancer's past!

You quickly and eagerly walked over and pulled out a chair across from Moondancer and plopped down next to her, leaning into the table with elbows crossed. None of the other fillies seemed to have noticed the strange robed male just popping into the middle the room so it seems fair to assume that your presence here was only an illusion.
At first she seemed to be completely ignoring you and was totally engrossed in her reading, the only thing breaking the monotony being her pausing every few moments to turn the page. You waited patiently for her to put down the book and interact with anypony, but she seemed to be off in her own little world.
...
This was actually getting frustrating.
What are you supposed to do now? Simply wait for something to happen? Where did that nice narrator lady go to? Just sitting here and waiting was going to get awfully boring unless you found some way to occupy yourself in the meantime.
Unless..
.All of this is just a memory, right? None of this is real... right?
