The tunnel opened up so suddenly it was like stepping into another world. Warm air wrapped around you, carrying a sweet scent. The walls of the cavern gleamed faintly, pulsing in rhythm like a quiet heartbeat.
At the center of the room stretched a massive lake of creamy milk. The surface rippled gently, picking up a soft light from somewhere above that made it shimmer. The light gave the whole place an otherworldly glow. It was quiet, save for the occasional sound of liquid shifting or the faint hum of the cavern itself.
You stepped closer, feeling the ground sink slightly under your boots. It was soft and warm, almost spongy. You stopped near the lake’s edge, staring out over the thick, smooth surface. Crouching down, you dipped your hand into the milk. It was warm and heavy, sliding through your fingers like silk. Something about it felt different—not just in texture, but in energy, as though it carried more than just sustenance.
Standing again, you glanced back at the cavern walls. They pulsed softly, and the faint gurgles and distant thrumming sounds filled the air. The lake rippled slightly, catching the light in mesmerizing patterns. You crossed your arms, scanning the space. There was so much room here, hidden and secure.
It could be like being in a symbiotic relationship with Rouge, with you helping each other.
You let out a small sigh as the idea settled in your mind. This cavern might just be the last place anyone would think to look, and it had everything you needed. Whether for safety, experimentation, or something else entirely, this was an opportunity worth taking. The only question now was where to start.
