Ruth Hayes felt a warm tingle shoot down her spine as the bright beam of the size-ray engulfed her. Rapidly the world around her began to dwindle away, and higher and higher her height grew. In just mere moments she went from being as tall as the tallest skyscraper to being on par with her MMA... girlfriend?
The beam had stopped, and Trish was now looking at her with a content smirk. The geek girl had been defeated and the two of them had come out of the whole ordeal relatively unscathed. They had the size-ray all to themselves and with it, all the power that came along with it.
"So, how does it feel to be back on top?" Trish had to ask. With the geek girl out of the way there was no one to oppose them.
Ruth on her part didn't know how to feel. Her best friend was gone, and her memory of the ginger girl was forever tainted. So many innocent people dead and for what? Edna had already gotten her revenge against Heather. Why bring innocent people who probably didn't even know she existed until today into it?
"It feels good being big but..." she couldn't even finish her sentence. The day's events had severely taken their toll. Right now, she just wanted to sit down and shut her eyes.
Seeing that she was in a less than jovial mood, Trish sighed. She knew why the cute girl she was crushing on was down. She had just ordered her best friend's execution for all the evil shit she did and the hell she put them through. Trish wasn't good with emotions, hence why this was so awkward for her.
She placed a hand on the girl's shoulder as gently as she could before pulling her into a stiff embrace. "It'll be, okay? Just... give it time, alright."
Ruth knew what her fellow giantess was doing and appreciated the emotional support. It was strange coming from Trish as the only person she'd ever seen her hug was her best friend Aoi. Aoi was probably the only girl in school who could stand Trish and her aggressive attitude.
Ruth slowly wrapped her arms around the MMA giant and whispered in her ear, "Thank you."
She couldn't see Trish's face, but she could feel her body finally begin to relax. "No problem."
After a few minutes of savoring the other's warm embrace the two reluctantly broke apart. The city was trashed and there were a few stragglers watching the pair with bated breath. They had stopped the psycho giant but was this really the end?
"So... uh? What do you want to do now?" Ruth asked, anything to distract her from thinking about Edna.
"Dunno." Trush answered. "Before I would've said let's rule the world but now, after everything that's happened, I just don't know."
Ruth frowned. She didn't know either. "Well, I'm sure we'll think of something eventually, and we'll do it together."
Trish smiled. "Alright, so until then... uh..."
