Her face instantly became downtrodden at your words, her entire frame sagging.

"I'll...catch you later, okay?" You give her a smile before heading out of the human-sized exit towards your car, tossing in your groceries and revving up the engine, only to drive away as quick as you could. Man, that was awkward.
