"You actually made something that can change a person's size?" You knew that Meena is smart, but you didn't know that she's an incredible genius to make something like that. Meena doesn't answer your question as she tries to smile rather sheepishly. Before you could say how impress you are, you just made a connection that involves with Meena's shirt. "Wait, you mean you want me to shrink?"
"N-no, I don't want that to happen, I mean the i-invention does have s-shrinking capability, but that's not what I want to ask you." She lowers you on her table before explaining anything else. "I-I want to see if i can make a h-human grow to our size."
"Grow to an anthro's size?" You hear this, but could not believe the possibility, an anthro size human. The thought does fascinate you, but it also makes you wonder if such a task is even remotely possible. "D-don't get me wrong Meena, but that sounds impossible. I hear many humans try but it constantly ends in horrific failure." You remember some news of anti-anthro groups trying to grow themselves and "fight back" the enemy, but the invention ends with the group almost killing themselves, which to be honest, most of human race aren't exactly grieving that last part since the anti-anthro group has been just as much trouble as the anti-human groups.
"I thought so too until I try to invent it, its actually easier for an anthro to built since we have some better technology. N-not to say you can't make anything, I mean, I um..." Meena is breaking down from nervousness as she tries to find the right words.
"I-I get what you mean Meena." You gentle rub her hand and calm her down enough to blush a little. "But are you sure that this invention is safe. I mean what happens if it becomes another failure?"
"Y-you don't have to worry A-Alan, I tested the invention already. Here j-just watch w-what I mean." As Meena gently puts you on a table, she reaches behind her to reveal a strange looking gun that looks like it came from a sci-fi film. She then places an apple on a counter, far enough for you to see the demonstration, and points the gun at it. When Meena gently pulls the trigger, the barrel began to glow green. Then a small bright green light shots out from the barrel and engulf the apple. The light surrounds the apple and the apple shrink right before your eyes. When the light fades away, Meena gently picks you and takes you where the apple was. You look around for bit before you finally spy the very apple that could easily crush all of New York at once without any effort is now the size of a regular apple, regular to you that is. Before you say anything else, Meena picks you up again and place you back on the table. You see her then points the gun at the apple again and shoots it again, but this time it grew back to its previous size. Meena turns toward you and waits for what you have to say.
"Wow, it actually works." You saw the demonstration and still could not believe what you just saw. There was one thing that you had to ask. "I just have one question, why you want me to tested on?"
"I want a human I-I know could t-trust completely, and the person I-I trust is you A-Alan." You see Meena blushing deep red as she tells this to you. You couldn't help but blush at the fact that Meena has place so much trust in you. "So, please, will you help me on project? I promise I will make it up to you somehow." She ask with her puppy dog eyes that she likes to use on you, and every time you can't resist Meena's cuteness when she does that.
"...You like to cheat, I hope you know that." Meena just giggles when she hears that. "Aright, I'll help you with this project." Meena jumps with joy and hugs you against her face in excitement. To be honest, even without those puppy dog eyes, you would still agree to help Meena with this. To you, Meena is one of those people that you want to help no matter what because of the kindness she given to you since you known each other. You always helped Meena with her projects because you are close friends with her and you always like to her smile, so doing this project won't be any different.
"So should we do this project now, Meena?" Meena places both you and the gun on the table before she talks.
"Actually, let me get my camera so I can record the testing. I'll be right back." Meena goes to her room to fetch her camera. As she was gone, you had time to look at the gun before...
