Were you particularly surprised? Ryan didn't immediately notice your arrival, his head being so much further above, but when you walked forward and rapped your knuckles on his big toe he glanced down with a scowl.
"Oh, it's you again," the husky groaned, shifting his paw back a few centimeters reflexively. "Don't even think about borrowing another movie without returning your last one." As you opened your mouth to explain, Ryan chuckled, "or else I might just step on ya and be done for it."
Uh oh. You rummage your hands through your pockets, hoping he wasn't serious in his threat.
