Morgan,with all her speech prowess at the moment,had been refused.Ingrid stepped up to Morgan,hands on her hips.Ingrid towered over her as the older sister,a good four or five inches taller than Morgan.You knew how much size can frighten.
"Morgan,you are in so much trouble now,y'know?Me and Mom treat Dad like a human being,which he is.Now,hand him over,and get up to your room."She commanded Morgan with authority that you had tried to obtain for years.Defeated,Morgan grumbled as she lifted up her big toe off of you,bending down and picking you up between her thumb and forefinger.She handled you very roughly as she dropped you into the sanctuary that was Ingrid's palm."He enjoys it...."You heard your youngest daughter mutter.
"You had him beneath your big toe?Get up to your room.Mom will be with you in a bit."Ingrid said,and in an instant,Morgan had rushed to her room,slamming the door behind her.
"........Sorry about that Dad."You looked up,Ingrid's face filling the sky,the image of a Gothic Goddess."It's no problem."You shout up,glad the whole ordeal was over.If Ingrid had given in to temptation....what would've happened?You really didn't want to think about the horrible alternative.
Rachael was informed of the whole situation a few hours later,and Morgan was brought in front of the two of you like a prisoner facing a trial."Morgan!You know that we've been over this before!"Rachael started,you standing in her palm.
"Your father loves you very much!And you shouldn't abandon that love by sticking him under your big toe!"She added,a sigh at the end of her sentence."So,what do you think?Grounded for a month?No friends or phone?"You asked Rachael,glad your voice carried some weight with her around.
Morgan gave you the most bitter stare you've ever seen.It made you shudder.
"That sounds reasonable.Morgan,you heard your father."Rachael finished up the talk.The prisoner has been convicted.
