Trekking Across the Belly

Without hesitation you began the trek across your mother's expansive belly. Your feet sunk unevenly in mother's soft skin as you walked making it hard to keep your balance. You hadn't even walked ten feet (relative to you) before falling face-first into her doughy flesh. "This is going to take longer than I thought." You said as you stood back up before continuing.
As you walked across her unfathomably wide stomach, your mind began to wander. You observed how the entire world seemed to rise and fall dozens of feet with her every breath. You could hear the low gurgling of her digestive system as well, the rumbling somewhat unsettling.
You yawned. As best you could tell, it was still late at night and your mother's body heat was making you quite drowsy. The fact that there was nothing around you for miles hut warm, pillowy flesh wasn't exactly helpful either. "Maybe she put me here on purpose," you thought with a snicker, "Sure beats a piece of yarn." But, tempting as it may have been, you decided against sleep and kept walking.
Eventually you came to an enormous dark abyss. "Almost half an hour and I just got to her belly button." As you skirted around the steep incline, tried to figure how deep it was. Unable to calculate, you simply decided it was better if you didn't stick around to find out.
Suddenly the world began to shift. A thunderous yawn rang out. Your mother was waking up!
