Debris cluttered every conceivable space. As far as the eye could see there was destruction and death. Entire buildings: now mere rubble. A small city with a population nearing two thousand: now in the double digits. Years of development and progress for so many lives, all wiped out in an instant. The few who survived looked up to the heavens with a single thought. Why? Their eyes met with the answer, covered with the blood and ruin of their once fair city. It was too big to fully comprehend, and when it came down a second time all life and all remaining signs of civilization were wiped out in an instant.
Above there was the unmistakable sounds of a loud voice giggling, almost like the massacre was a game to her. Ruth stared down to her foot, wiggling her toes over the city she crushed in only two steps. Raising her sole her slender hand casually brushed off what looked like dirt, but of course it was all the destruction she just brought upon an unsuspecting town. The woman was aware that she just killed over a thousand lives, but she viewed it like most people view bugs: with little care. It was to be expected of course. She was a giantess standing at a whopping thousand miles tall, with feet encompassing several miles by themselves. It was inevitable for her to crush something. At first the lost lives scarred her, but once the effect was lost it struck Ruth that crushing stuff was an oddly satisfying stress relief. That was why this city was now gone, Ruth was doing it to relieve some stress.
Playfully the pink-haired girl’s toes dug into the dust that was once the city, grinding it into the dirt. From her perspective it was impossible to distinguish between the grayish-brown dirt and the grayish-brown dust she grinded from the buildings. Ruth was by no means a bad girl, in fact she was a genuinely sweet girl to anyone she cared about. But that was just it: people she cared about. Anyone else barely registered to her. There was no point in trying to befriend every ant around her so she simply stopped trying; it made things so much simpler. Of course once her occasional rampage on some poor city happened people were quick to disapprove, but what would they say to her? They were five feet tall, she was a thousand-miles tall. As such no one dared to ever cross Ruth, just how she liked it.
Crushing the small city was just the little bit of mindless violence she needed, the girl tossed a wink at the decayed city. “Thank you.” She laughed as she kissed her finger then planted it on the dust that was once an entire city. Ruth rose back to her feet and casually brushed the dirt from her clothes. Her outfit of the day was a pair of tight, red-plaid shorts and a white tank top. Her feet, as usual, were bare. Given her size clothes were a bit hard to come by so it was only the necessities.
Not showing any second thoughts about her destruction, Ruth turned around and casually began walking around. Each step covered miles of terrain so she had to keep an eye out for small cities she might crush by accident. There was no need for unnecessary violence. Keeping that in mind Ruth walked, pondering what to do next. She intended for that little bit of stress relief to last at least a few minutes. Now she was bored, and needless to say her options were a bit limited.
Ruth took another step, her feet felt cold all of a sudden. A quick look down revealed a large lake her feet were submerged in. It brought goose bumps but at least her feet were clean now. She shrugged it off and saw a city nearby. It was big, much bigger than the city she just toyed with. This one actually deserved the title city. It went on for at least twenty miles in all directions and had to have housed over ten thousand people at least.
“This will do nicely.” Ruth grinned as an idea popped into her head.
