"Oh. My. God. Jack???"
Your mom dropped your clothes in disbelief.
"Yeah, mom, it's me!"
Her hand quickly closed around you. You could feel her walking swiftly. Your mom's hand opened and she sat you on the kitchen table.
"Oh My God Jack. What happened?"
You tried to explain your condition, but you could tell your mom wasn't listening. She was still in shock. Your mom got up and grabbed her cigarettes. She always smoked when she was anxious. She pulled out one of the cigarettes, which was larger than you, and exhaled nervously in the air.
"Look mom, it's not a big deal, I..."
"Not a big deal?!? Jack, you're like three inches tall!" your mom said, scooping you up and pulling you close to her face. She started to calm down. "I'm sorry, I don't mean to get excited, it's just, well, this is a lot to take in."
Your mom took another drag off of her cigarette, and exhaled out of her nose. Being held so close to your face, the smoke covered you and you began to cough. Your mother smirked.
