Al and Winry decided to head up the staircase to see what there was to see. In a few minutes, they reached a large oaken set of double doors. Al pushed the doors open and gasped in surprise. The room was a gigantic library, filled with the most books they had ever seen. Shelves covered every availabe wall, stacked to the cieling and each shelf was stacked with books. Ladders were leaning against some of the shelves and a spiral staircase led up to a different level. They entered the room and the door closed behind them with a hollow boom. A voice drifted from the second floor, "Is it that time already Lucia?"
Al and Winry looked at each other in confusion.
"He must mean the other giant." Winry whispered.
Al was about to whisper back when they heard footsteps approaching. They looked up and saw the man the statues were modeled after. He looked down at them in total surprise. His surprise was understandable. He'd only seen his companion for the last few hundred years. He noticed he was naked and quickly used alchemy to call up some clothes. It had been so long since they had visitors...
He moved swiftly down the stairs, coming to meet Al and Winry. He shook their hands and said, "My name is Alzorja, a pleasure to meet you."
"Same here. I'm Al, and this is Winry."
Alzorja looked at Al and said, "It's strange. You look a lot like me."
"We noticed that before." Winry said. "I don't suppose you two are related?"
It was a joke, but Alzorja suddenly looked troubled. "You aren't related to Hohenheim of Light are you?"
Al, looking surprised said, "Yes, I'm his son."
Alzorja sighed and said, "Oh no. The past is coming after us. This will be the second relative he's lost to the Philosopher's Stone."
"Are you related to him somehow?" Winry asked.
"Yes. He was my brother."
Al's jaw dropped as he heard this. This man, a legendary giant, was his uncle. And yet, he couldn't be much older then him! Maybe a year or two, but no more. Alzorja smiled sadly and said, "I suppose he named you after me. Come. We have much to discuss."
They left the library and headed down. After walking down a short hallway they came to a magnificent garden.
"Lucia and I will tell the whole story." Alzorja said.
