It didn't take long for Ed, Al, and Winry to arrive back at Winry's house in Resembool. As they arrived at the house from the front, they had no idea that Wrath and Lust had already arrived from the back. They had knocked Pinako unconcious and tied her up to keep her quiet, not wanting anything to look suspicious. Blood everywhere would be suspicious, hence the reason Wrath didn't slaughter the old lady. They both watched as Al set Ed down in front of the house. As soon as Wrath saw him, he saw red. Those limbs would be his! Without warning he charged forward and tackled Ed to the ground. Al and Winry stepped back in surprise as Wrath fought with Ed. They were twisting and moving so much neither giant could think of a way to help. Ed was capable of taking care of himself anyway. Wrath pinned Ed down, hands on his throat, applying pressure.
"What do you think will happen if you get my limbs Wrath? Do you think that'll make you human?"
"Shut up! They're mine! MINE!"
Ed laughed and said, "You haven't noticed yet have you?"
Wrath ignored him until he pulled back the sleeve of his right arm and Wrath saw flesh and not metal. He looked at the limb in shock. Then he looked at his own right arm. It was as pale as his left arm, no scars or anything. The same was true of his leg.
"You don't have my limbs anymore, because I got them back from the Gate!" Ed said. "Using the Philosopher's Stone!"
"It doesn't matter! I'll just take them all then! What's two more limbs added to the exchange?"
Before he could reapply the same crushing pressure as before, a thin black spear struck him in the back of his head, passing out through his forehead. He slowly collapsed backward, a trail of blood winding down his face. Lust retracted her spears and stared at Ed. He slowly got up and said, "Why are you helping us?"
"Because I need you, and you need me."
"We don't need your help!"
"I know the transmutation circle needed to seal a homunculus. I'll help you in any way I can and in exchange, I want you to make me human."
"No way! Why should we trust you?"
"That's a good question. I really don't have an answer. But Wrath will wake up sooner or later and we have to act fast. There's a wherehouse nearby that we can use to seal Wrath. But we have to hurry. I can't scratch the circle on soil, especially if Sloth is following us, like I suspect she is."
"Maybe we should listen to her Ed." Al said quietly.
Ed glared at the homunculus and saw a strange glint in her eye, a look of sorrow on her face. He sighed and said, "Lead the way."
Al scooped up Ed and Winry grabbed Lust.
"It's a mile in that direction." She said, pointing. "We have to move fast so I can scratch the circle."
And so the motley group ran towards the nearby wherehouse for what looked to be a difficult fight. Wrath quickly recovered, growling at Lust's betrayel.
"I knew she couldn't be trusted!" He yelled, running after the giants.
Close behind, Sloth followed Wrath.
