The Mystic Moon was high in the night sky while Van Fanel ventured into the forest in order to slay a dragon, and become king of all Fanelia. The forest was home to several land dragons, dragons that didn't fly but instead glided through the air with it's 'wings'. Van needed to kill one of these brutes and take a enegist back to Fanelia as proof he killed a dragon.
Van was wearing battle armor over his normal clothing, and he was ready to fire an arrow at a sign from a dragon that popped up. Folken had tried to do this a month ago and failed...they never found Folken's body. So, it was all up to Van to slay a dragon and take the throne of Fanelia. It would be easy to slay a dragon in a guymelef, but the Rite had forbidden the use of guymelefs to slay the dragon...they had to kill a dragon on foot. Half of the people that did this Rite died in battle with a fierce dragon. Van was determined not to die in battle...Fanelia needed a king.
Van walked yet deeper into the forest, looking for a dragon. Finally, he saw one dragon drinking from the river. Van smirked and creeped closer to the dragon, readying his arrow. Van stopped when he was feet away from the dragon and let fly his arrow. The arrow hit the dragon squarely in the side, but the arrow bounced off...these kinds of dragons were known for thier tough scales. The dragon stopped drinking and looked to see what had attacked it. The dragon gave a fiecre roar when it saw Van and it started to charge right at him.
That's when a column of light surrounded Van.
"What's this?!" asked Van as he started to lift from the ground. The dragon stopped short and grabbed Van with it's claws. Slowly, the dragon pulled Van away from the column of light and towards its wide open mouth!
Thinking quickly, Van stabbed the dragon in the claw, making it let go of him and he was back in the column of light. He went higher and higher into the sky...it was as if the column of light was lifting him up into the heavens.

Van found himself on a expanse of red ground. The column of light was now gone, and Van looked around to see where he was now.
"Ready, Kazaki?" asked a male voice somewhere behind Van. Van turned around to see a giant man wearing strange clothes and holding something in a closed fist.
"Where am I?" asked Van, but nobody heard him.
"Anytime you are, Amano" said a female voice. Van turned to look and saw a giantess bending low on the far side of the red ground.
"GO!" yelled the giant, and the giantess started to run towards Van. The ground shook violently and Van fell over, unable to keep his balance. He got up just in time to see the giantess up close...she was going to step on him!
"5, 6, 7..." counted the giant.
Van tried to get out of the way of the giantess, but the giantess's feet was too big. Van closed his eyes, waiting to get squished by this giant woman.
