Lodoss, the accursed island. It holds many secrets and many races. One of these races are the High Elves. High Elves usually live in forests and are hardly ever seen. Deedlit is the exception.
Deedlit is 120 years old, which isn't old for an elf. All elves are immortal, unless they are killed. But how are elves immortal? None of the other races (Dwarves, Humans, etc) are immortal. And animals certainly aren't immortal. So, we have to ask the question; What makes elves immortal?
The answer is that they eat mortal creatures to be immortal. Elves add to thier lifespan the more mortal creatures they eat. Now, most elves eat animals. Other elves eat humans, and few eat dwarves. But the devoured creature may not be doomed to digestion. Elves, being magical beings, can control thier bodily fuctions and stop themsleves from digesting meals. Elves that eat humans often do this, enjoying the squirming of the trapped human within thier bellies. Naturally, a Dark Elf would digest everything, since they don't get along with the other races (especially High Elves) well. A High Elf tends to digest evil people, adding to thier life span plus ridding the world of evil people. But, not many humans know that Elves can eat people whole and alive. Parn doesn't know this, which makes Deedlit happy. Deedlit had been planning to eat Parn, but they were on a quest to destory the evil empire of Marmo. Now that Marmo has been destoryed and peace is in Lodoss at last, Deedlit plans on making Parn his meal. Last time anyone saw the two, they were riding together on the same horse.
